Yeah and when you pull the brake in it tightens up because the shoes are snug against the drum holding the whole assembly together..I bet its the bearings too Alley

Cool deal,, Almost best to get a good aftermarket carb that can be modified easy,,got a nice keihin for about $60 I think it was... Let us know,,hope you got it nailed! You can try a bottle of that lucas fuel system cleaner,,just put half bottle in or so and run it,,that stuff is a miracle in a bottle..

Yeah,, I agree on fuel issue,,could even be something in the tank like the float coming apart from the ethanol. I would drain all the fuel out, replace the filter, put some fresh fuel in and give it a go,,might find out the carb needs to be cleaned if this doesn't work or maybe that pesky fuel pump/petcock could be acting up,,id throw it in the trash and get a manual petcock or nice mikuni high velocity pump.

Can even make an upside down fulcrum from a short piece of wood and a longer one,,stick the longer one(4ft2x4 or so)under a low car then take the shorter one(8-10"2x4)place it on the bead then push it down with the longer one,,works every time,,just make sure to block the wheel on both sides with wood also to keep it off the ground

Hey bro's, I was watching a tube video today and the guy had the same long case 150 I have,,he changed out a belt without removing the variator. Just by squeezing the clutch as hard as he could so the belt fell all the way to the bottom of the pulley gave him enough slack to walk the belt right off the variator without any problem at all.I tried this on mine and there was no way..he said his belt size was 842-20-30 mine is 835-20-30 so his is 7 mm longer obviously giving him the necessary slack needed to accomplish this. My question is,, Can I use a longer belt on my machine so i can achieve this repair on the road if need be easier than bringing tools to remove the variator nut? If so,,what would be the difference in using a longer belt vs. a shorter one,,possibly more top speed? Thanks to all in advance!! Tommy

NP,Great video,,I like that he shows exactly what every wire does, how to test, and also gives the values you need to look for on the DVM.

There are a couple other good valve videos on the tube if you look. I found some really cool vids on troubleshooting CDI/coil/starter issues this morning I posted it in the tech contribution section. Let us know how you make out bro..

I bought some Dr Pulley sliders and some time in the near future I will install and see if there is any truth to the hype. I dont have Dr.Pulley sliders but the sliders work good, less chatter and smoother shifting,,think I will stick with them from now on.
