So I finally got my 150cc swap together enough to drive it today. It has a ton of power. I almost flipped it over when I did a full throttle take off. I figured I'd see what the top speed was. I had a car follow me and I used the GPS on my phone. I got 50 on the gps and 54 from the car following me. (The needle on the scooter was pegged to the bottom of the gauge. Based on distance from the 50 mark it would be reading 70+ stupid 50cc speedos) It's a 150cc Longbo Engine with low miles. Anyways I thought I should be getting at least to 65. How fast are most of you guys getting on your 150 scooters? I plan on playing with the jet size and variator weights in the future. For now the only modification is a free flow air filter and the fact that its a 150cc engine on a 50cc frame.

what is the difference between a 6, 8 and 11 pole stator. Besides the obvious that the have a different number of poles. Is one more superior than another and if so can the be swapped out for one another?

Start out with .004 exhaust and .003-.004 on your intake. If it rattles then go back in and adjust them down a bit. They should be fine tho. Also a # jet seems a little small. You would be running a # with just a free-flow air filter. Once you add a BBK it should be at least a # more like a #92+ IMO

I don't have a whole lot of experience with CVT's but do you think that you could have the wrong sizes belt? It seems to be flopping around a little bit too much. Its tight when its just sitting. The wrong size would be loose when its just sitting there. Check and see if the rear spring is broken. Have you changed roller weights or anything?

On the speedometer gauge side it is going to be threaded onto a stud. you simply screw it off and on. you may need pliers/vise grips to break it loose. On the input side down at the wheel it may be threaded as it is at the top. In which case you will do the same thing. Or if its not threaded there will be a screw. Most likely a phillips type that you unscrew to remove it and once the new one is in tighten it back up.

I've had belts break in all sorts of different ways. Usually i've found that the less they cost the more pieces there where.
I also noticed that the faster I was going when they broke the more pieces there where.

To see if it is the ignition switch or kill switch that has gone bad and is preventing it from starting unplug the black and white wire from the CDI.

I'd save your money on buying the CDI and Coil. They don't really make any difference unless you go with an expensive one and even at that it might not be noticeable. (NOTE:If you have a CDI with a limiter in it then an aftermarket one will make a difference)( As far as what order to do it in you really should do them all together. Otherwise your going to have to keep buying different jets each time you do a differnt mod. I'd go with -100cc BBK -Some type of free flow air filter -20mm carb (If you really want to upgrade it. It's probably not really necessary) -Cut your exhaust open and take some of the baffles out and put a bigger tip on it then weld it back up. Its way cheaper and works better than performance exhausts you can buy off the internet IMO -# or #92 Jet -6.5 or 7gram roller weight -Get a good belt too (You'll be replacing them a lot if you have cheap ones)

I'd check your grounds. Usually when everything goes out that's what you want to check.
To remove your plastics you first have to remove the "side skirts" i think there are 2 10mm bolts and then a screw holding them to the tailight assembly and then you slide them towards the rear of the bike and they'll come off. Then remove the seat compartment and there should be a couple screws to each side of the valve cover. then take the gas cap off and the rear 3 pieces should come off together. I dont recall if you have to remove the tail lights to get some of this stuff off or not. but if you get to a point where something is hung up on the tail light assembly pull it off

If you had a bad exhaust leak or a performance exhaust that could cause a burnt valve. Engines need to have a little back pressure otherwise they burn the valves.

So I custom made a bracket to put a 150 engine on a 50cc frame. It runs and drives great other than it vibrates a lot on deceleration. When i made the bracket it is solidly welded to the frame and doesn't have the little bumpers on it like how it had on the scooter the motor came off of and i never rode it when it was still on the 150cc frame so i'm wonder if it is just because it is solidly mounted to the frame or if there is something wrong with the engine/cvt. Other than this the scooter runs and drives great and is really fast. Thanks for any input.
