DX I set my intake to .004" and exhaust to .005" and it runs great. "Factory" setting is a poor term when talking about Chinese built stuff. As long as it works good enough to send it off and sell it they don't care. They're about quantity not quality. Lol

I would still change your oil just as often even if you go with synthetic. The oil itself will last longer no doubt but gy6 motors have a very poor excuse for a filter (just that little mesh screen) and I would still change it every 600-1000 miles just to get any crap out that may be in the oil that the filter cant get out.

Has anyone ever done a 150cc Longbo Swap onto a 50cc frame. The only 150cc swaps I've seen have one shock with the rear wheel only secured by one bolt like the 50cc scooters. But the 150cc scooter i got has 2 shocks and the rear wheel is on an axle that is attached on both sides. Has anyone ever done a swap with one of these engines.

Also check the speedometer cable input gear housing and if you have front drum brakes check where they are held in place on the forks. If they will move at all shim them and see if the noise goes away. That's what was making noise at low mph on mine. If not it only takes about 5 mins of your time before you go tearing into stuff

You need to break the engine in by varying the speed and not doing wide open throttle for the first 200 miles or so. That's probably why your first one didn't last.

1.Remove washer from variator. (If there is one) 2.Exhaust may have restrictions. Either remove those or buy a performance exhaust. (To find out if your exhaust has restrictions in it simply remove the exhaust and drive around for a little bit to see if there's a difference. don't keep it off tho as no back pressure will burn out your exhaust valves.) 3. Put on a free flow air filter and increase your jet size. (Do this at the same time. If you just put on a free flow filter you will run your engine very lean and they are already lean from the factory I'd suggest a # jet) 4. Remove screw from "carb cap" if there is one. (Carb cap is the top of the carburetor it has two screws in it simply remove it and on the bottom there will be a round dowel sticking down. if there is a screw in the bottom of the dowel take it out. Or if the dowel is longer than 2cm cut it down)

I just picked up a Long Bow 150 Alien Brand 150cc scooter last night for 100 bucks. It doesnt run and is missing the speedo and a few plastics but is really nice other than that. I was trying to find where to get another speedo but was having no luck on google. Does anybody know where to get parts for these? Heres a pic of how i got it home from 30 miles away.

It could be a bad CDI. I had a buddy who had a 50c with the same situation. Ran when he bought it then wouldn't start later due to no/weak spark. He replace the CDI and it worked again. Also could be a bad coil.
