My 49cc VIP future chap is bone stock. I have drilled out the a/f screw to attempt to get more power but that seems like a lost cause! Besides the fact I can run it with out a air box but it seems to be really picky and the weather here in Virginia beach is not constant ie the other day I had it doing 55 mph but it was 70 out side that night I left work I had to tune it all over again I understand it being carb it's gonna need tweaking when the weather changes i just ordered this cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200894907609 performance Cdi cable and coil will this help with more rpms? I top out at 35-40 mph at 6k rpms it would do 45 and go to 7k rpms but that was before I started to play with the a/f screw if anyone has a picture of where the a/f screw is when stock so I can put mine back before I get this part. Any info on these issues would be great just hit 1200 kh and did an oil change to royal purple Attachments:

I pretty much have the same scoot as you and live about 50 miles north of you and with all my upgrades, I'm averaging 33mph. These stock machines that'll do 55mph just astound me. Gps verify that? Turn af screw all the way in, then 2.5 turns out. That's a good starting point, then just read up on how to tune it. Running w/no filter is engine suicide.

Mine does 50MPH tops (GPS verified). Takes a while to get there... Just pump up the tires, gap the spark plug, put BP premium fuel in it, and wait until the engine is hot enough to zip away at 50MPH!

I have a 2012 TaoTao "hemi powered" Charger..I do 47mph tops and 35-40 average. Only upgrades were a better belt and an irridium NGK plug.

The upgrade helped speed up the rpms. I leave the stop lights and get up to 45-50 it takes a while but it really helped out getting the launch with a stock cvt. not needing to tune as much Ngk plug next week! Looking at roller weights now. I'm 165 lbs and my brother is 175 lbs any help on what weights we should run will? I understand some decrease top speed but better launch and some less launch but more top end? It's all flat in Virginia beach looking for decent launch but as of now I've got it where I like it! Just looking for speed, and advice!

Just so you all know your not actually doing 50+mph on a 49cc scooter with few mods on it. Your speedometers are all fast by about 5 to 10 mph from the factory.

Indymoped the speed I posted is GPS verified not stock speedo. Stock speedo will read 58-60 when GPS confirms 50 some times speedo is way off so I resort to my Tom Tom with a dash mount rigged to right under the seat when the door for spark plug is located
