Help! Where can I find a speedo cable that is 39 an 1/2 inches long? That's the measurement of the inside cable its self, not the cable housing. Can't measure the housing because It's still on the scoot. Looks like a pain to replace. It has 12 inch wheels. I've looked all over for one,no luck at all. P.S. It's a handsome boy body style. Thanks!

On the speedometer gauge side it is going to be threaded onto a stud. you simply screw it off and on. you may need pliers/vise grips to break it loose. On the input side down at the wheel it may be threaded as it is at the top. In which case you will do the same thing. Or if its not threaded there will be a screw. Most likely a phillips type that you unscrew to remove it and once the new one is in tighten it back up.

I know all of that( indymoped) I just want to know how much of front end to take apart? The cable housing is tied to the frame of the SCOOTER. I've got to take off body panels in order to remove the speedo cable, What body panels need to be removed on the front an how much do I have to remove???
