What did the stock rollers weigh ? Mine came with 6g I tried 4g but were too light so I mixed them to equal 5g . I had a racing pie on and lost bottom end take off since no restriction in exhaust it n it an did not build up pressure but top was awesome .I ran a 75MJ when it was stock and mine has a 19mm carb where most use a smaller one . What spark plug are you using ?

Pinch the fuel hose or drain the tank and then the carb bowl . Remove the idle jet and clean it . A sticking clutch can also want to engage rather than allow it to idle like if a spring broke . 50cc or BBK ? When I put on a 47mm or 70cc BBK it would start but die while at idle unless I gave it some throttle and just before coming to a stop . I put in a larger idle jet from 35 to a 40 and ta da it idles like a kitten .

Sounds like low compression at it should be able to hit 7K or more . Oh heck yes a gram or two lighter can help so much in your case . My 4T 50 I went from 8g to 5g and WOW ! My Echarm which is a 150 but LC engine , I removed the rollers and they weighted 12.2g . I put in 12g Dr Pulley sliders and gained 5 MPH on the top end with a better power curve too .

Do a plug chop to see how the jetting is . Too hot of a sparkplug can also cause this issue . With a 2T you always want to upjet it to be a lil rich than dead on it since running lean it gets hotter , performance loss and will fry the piston .
Oil injection or premix ? If oil injection did you bleed the oil pump ? If premix what ration ? Extra oil sounds like a good idea to be safe but oil burns hotter than gas .
Yes an air leak can cause it to run bad and hot too . Check intake tubing and exhaust and reed valves too .

My 2T would hit 45+ all day long with only mods were a NGK iridium ( fires better than standard but no speed gain ) and I upjetted from a 68MJ to a 75 . It would max out at 8K RPMs but if I went downhill and went above that it would fizzle and stall . I think you meant a 5 pin CDI . I put on the blue finned CDI from PFS and it still had the same top end and fizzle . It came with 6g rollers . I tried 4g but too light so I mixed them up to equal5g . More than likely yours has the restrictor washer and needs to be upjetted as factory they are set for sea level and on the lean side . Higher elevation requires a larger main jet . Visit hear for de-restricting tips Tips
I later put on a 47mm or 70cc BBK and noticed that the exhaust port on the 40mm ( 49cc ) was D shaped where the BBK was O shaped which allowed more flow and RPMs went up to 10,500 with racing pipe and stock exhaust too .
You will be surprised how much a larger main jet , lighter rollers and NGK iridium will do for you . I use Dr Pulley sliders in my scoots since they perform and last longer than rollers .
If your exhaust pipe is only tubular with no expansion chamber you will not have top end power like those with a tuned exhaust .
If you want more power a BBK is your best option and it blows my mind how much 7mm bigger piston can zoom !

I have had holes jar me but not really slow me down . Ones reaction is to let off of the throttle when events like this happen . Try to avoid potholes if you can . Those with 10s it effects them much more than with 13 or 16 inch tall rims . Keep an eye on that tire pressure

A 16mm is small for a 72cc . The power kits come with a 21mm . What size main jet are you running ? I bet your are running lean and had a soft seize . Also what sparkplug are you running ? Too hot of a plug can also do this . Have you done a plug chop ?
I have heard of Roketas having a vacuum problem with the tank cap before . I had put on a Uni and ran it for two years and one day it died . I let it set but it would die fast . Well a hose that I just tucked away had not been capped but worked great for a long time . I covered up the hole with duct tape and ta da it was righteous again

A larger carbs means more air means leaner unless upjetted . I was running a 120 MJ on 19mm TK carb with Uni , pipe and BBK . I put the stock pipe back on since it was so darn loud and went down to a 105 since I lost the 110
Oil injector or premix ? What is the number on the spark plug ? My scooter dealer told me about a guy who used to hot of a plug and it would seize . Do a plug chop since a 2T you want to be a lil rich since too lean it will cook and destroy the piston . What size MM is the carb and main jet size ? Does it smoke at start up ?
