i have the same size belt and have had the same problem with a cheap belt, i usually get mine from the dealer i bought the scooter from, but bought a cheap belt once and it shredded, he carries Mitsubishi belts and never had a problem with them it was the stock belt that came with my keeway, i saw racing planet USA had 793x16.8 malossi belts, i have tried the gates 788 belts, but it killed my take off and top end

i would just do away with the oil injection altogether, and premix, it isn't that big of a deal, i usually have a gas can of premixed gas at home and i keep oil with me, in case i have to get gas on the road, i had my oil pump fail on me i was lucky as it just dumped in a lot of oil and fouled the plug, the only way you will be able to tell how much damage was done is to take apart the top end and inspect it hopefully it might be just the rings, but i would check it out before running it and possibly doing more damage

i think it is time for a new shop 6 weeks and still hasn't got it running, they could have assembled a whole new one in that amount of time, if you think it is a problem with the cdi call the manufacturer they could probably help with that, mine has an alarm and it has nothing to do with the cdi, it is a keeway which is manufactured by the same company as benelli QJ, i think the mechanic at that shop doesn't know much about scooters, also has the variator been checked for any restrictions, there are many of us on here that do our own work and have had problems come up me included, but we are doing our own work, and some of us learning how too, you paid a shop for service he should have known right away which kit to buy, and he shouldn't THINK it is the cdi he should know, that is what he gets paid to do, it really doesn't sound like it is the cdi i would listen to some of the suggestions on here, he may have not installed the piston, right or your jetting may not be good, i would looking into finding a reputable SCOOTER shop to do the work if you cannot yourself, i know the scooter dealer near me would have had this scooter running by now , i think your mechanic might be the problem, i feel for you spending that kind of money and not getting results

i have had both 2 and 4 stroke , i like the 2 stroke better than the 4,more power and quicker to get there the downside is rebuilding sooner, but i find it a lot easier to change the cylinder on the 2 stroke than on the 4, just less parts to deal with

most that i have seen have come with the head, i know there are some that don't, i have seen even cheap ones on ebay that came with the head for around 50 dollars. i don't know if i would want a kit that is that cheap not sure of quality, i ordered mine from racing planet usa www.racingplanetusa.com/ and it was an aluminum kit that came with the head and it was around 140 pretty good prices on their kits

not sure if any of the kits come with a cast iron piston, you might be able to see if a company like wiseco makes them for something like that www.wiseco.com/

that is the horizontal engine scrappydog has complete engine it is 90cc engine, but is the short case not sure which one you have it is on bottom of the page www.scrappydogscooters.com/50cc_2stroke_Performance.html there are not many engines out there that i have seen, the kits are pretty easy to install, i think it would be easier than changing the whole engine took me around 40 minutes to remove old cylinder and install the new one, not sure about yours, but on mine you don't have to take the engine off to install the cylinder kit

if that is the case you may be able to get it close to 60 , the kit i have is a single ring, i have heard the single rings wear faster i have a few hundred miles on it now, i just wanted to try a single ring aluminum kit, the aluminum kits are supposed to run cooler, the 2 ring more reliable and easier to tune from what i hear, i had a 2 ring bbk and found it was harder to tune than this kit, had a few thousand on it when it went, the bottom ring caught the port and tore the piston and cylinder up put a big grove in the cylinder wall, was actually a more expensive kit than the airsal i got, they both were quick, but this one seems to have around 2 mph top speed and gets there much faster, when i leave my drive way it is slight uphill i can get it up to 45 in less than a block, also with the single ring i found it much easier to install, but that is all personal preference, you may want to install heavier clutch springs too with the kit real helps with take off
