i would take the cvt cover off and inspect all the parts to make sure everything is in good order, could be a weight has a flat spot or is out of place, is it the front wheel that feels like it is bouncing? if it is i would inspect the tire and make sure it is inflated and no bulges and nothing loose, also inspect the break caliper and axle bolt is tight and not bent

could be a dirty carburetor you can take it apart and clean it and the jets i would check the sparkplug too may need to be replaced and make sure the sparkplug wire is on the plug tight, check to make sure the air filter is clean and make sure you are getting gas and that the vacuum line is attached and not crimped, start with the basics and go from there

if it is a 4 stroke than the valves could be a problem if they are not adjusted right you could have the problem you are explaining, if it is a 2 stroke there are no valves you would have reeds they are located under the intake, i had a cracked reed and my scooter would start sometimes usually stall and not want to start, but if i left it for awhile i could get it to start again then it would do the same thing again, also if you do have reeds and there is a crack they could break and get sucked into the crankshaft

i tried that with mine and lost take off power tried lighter and lost top end, i don't know why, i know everyone says to go a gram heavier, but it didn't end up working for me it seemed when i matched the sliders to the same weight as the rollers it was good, right now i matched them to the rollers with 1500 torque spring and they have been great, they do seem to work smoother than the rollers

i am assuming it is a 2 stroke, i would check your reeds to make sure they are not cracked or chipped, that could stop it from starting

I should have gone to John in the first place, but once in a while you have to test the waters. They internets prices are very tempting. I guess I got what I payed for (Garbage). i know i did the same thing and it left me stranded and walking, luckily i was close to home didn't even make it a mile down the road

did not realize you are right in milford, you can get the 792 belt right from John at scooters plus in milford they are a little expensive i think around 45 - 47 but i have not had any trouble with those belts just ask him for the mitsubishi 792 belt
