there are some good kits on parts for scooters and racing planet usa i would check speedometer with gps 54 mph is pretty generous usually you will find stock speedometers are off, usually speeds like that are from 70cc kit, when i did mine, i got it from racing planet and got the airsal kit with the single ring, but any kit from either sight should be fine, you will have to up jet,i was running with stock airbox and just put on a open filter and went to 100 but it may be different size on yours i would start high and go from there, i did not have to change pilot jet but some do, i ran mine kind of easy under 8000 rpms for around 100 miles and after that i have opened it up but with the new kit i don't need full throttle all the time, right now with the kit i am mixing 32:1 that is what they suggested, and have switched to synthetic as suggested by airsal, right now the speed i am getting has been able to keep up with my friends 150cc 4 stroke at around 55-56 mph, there are kits that you can get more speed out of and others less, you definitely will get there faster with extra torque

do you know what size wrist pin you need for your scooter 12 or a 10mm, mine has a 12 some have 10 most of the kits come with the head a few don't also you may want to get a new wrist pin bearing unless the kit you get comes with one you will have to up jet with the kit, also are you getting a new exhaust pipe with it, you will definitely get more power with one with an expansion chamber, you might also want to get a bigger carburetor with the kit depending on which kit you get and what size your stock carburetor is,i ended up getting this kit it took around a week to get it had to come from spain i also got a bigger carburetor 19mm and am using a main jet on it www.racingplanetusa.com/cylinder-airsal-t6racing-70cc-keeway-p-2160-1.html?cPath=802_24970_24980&sessID=4c19dfc821b2383b7eb643a3a7b5e24cthe kit turned out to be nicer than i thought it would be

i just put in a new airsal bbk and i am having starting running issue, got a new carb to go with it 19mm and am using the exhaust i had leo vince zx i can get it started if i cover carb with my hand and it will stay running if i give it throttle after it starts if i let off the throttle it just dies and is hard to start i am running a main jet to start, that is what the directions said to use and the stock one with carb, not sure what size, could it be the auto choke with the carb is no good even though it is new, the compression on scooter is close to 150 so i don't think compression is the issue any suggestions would be great

does the size of the wrist pin 10mm or 12mm determine how many rpms the stock crank can handle or is it just a difference in wrist pin size and nothing else

my friend did a bbk last year on his 50cc gy6, and ran great last year and beginning of this year, now it is starting to run slow only around 25mph, tried cleaning the carb, there was some varnish in the bowl disassembled and soaked in carb cleaner and blew out with compressor, no change thought maybe the cvt nothing wrong there, tried compression test, compression is good, any thoughts on this would be great we are both stumped on this
