Hey guys, for these 70cc bbks im gunna get kne, but do i need to buy a 70cc head? Or can i just use the head i already have? Also mycarbs main jet is a 70, people are tellibg me i dont need to rejet, is that true? And if not how high should i start?
Im looking at the minarelli kits with a 12mm wrist pin, but my mian wuestion is do i i need to buy a kit with a head or not? Thanks!

Stick with your 10mm wrist pin unless you need to replace your crankshaft for some reason. Jetting depends on alot of factors. Even differant types of BBK's will determine differant jetting. If you're just doing a BBK, I'd jump up to a 100 main and work your way down from there. The needle may have to be lowered (clip raised) to get the mid throttle right. Also, get a head with the big bore kit. Your compression would likely be too high with a 50cc head.

do you know what size wrist pin you need for your scooter 12 or a 10mm, mine has a 12 some have 10 most of the kits come with the head a few don't also you may want to get a new wrist pin bearing unless the kit you get comes with one you will have to up jet with the kit, also are you getting a new exhaust pipe with it, you will definitely get more power with one with an expansion chamber, you might also want to get a bigger carburetor with the kit depending on which kit you get and what size your stock carburetor is,i ended up getting this kit it took around a week to get it had to come from spain i also got a bigger carburetor 19mm and am using a  main jet on it www.racingplanetusa.com/cylinder-airsal-t6racing-70cc-keeway-p-2160-1.html?cPath=802_24970_24980&sessID=4c19dfc821b2383b7eb643a3a7b5e24cthe kit turned out to be nicer than i thought it would be |
