i just put in a new airsal bbk and i am having starting running issue, got a new carb to go with it 19mm and am using the exhaust i had leo vince zx i can get it started if i cover carb with my hand and it will stay running if i give it throttle after it starts if i let off the throttle it just dies and is hard to start i am running a main jet to start, that is what the directions said to use and the stock one with carb, not sure what size, could it be the auto choke with the carb is no good even though it is new, the compression on scooter is close to 150 so i don't think compression is the issue any suggestions would be great

Try turning the idle screw up at least one turn.

I go with the idle speed screw is set to low, since it is a 2T I am assuming it is a SLIDER type carb, the IDLE SPEED SCREW is around the center of the CARB give it a full clockwise turn to raise the slide. Alleyoop

i took the carb off and made sure it was clean just to be safe reassembled and put it back on turned the idle up couple turns it did fire up without choking it with my hand, but stalled pretty quick and didn't want to start again i may have flooded it though, could the 2stroke oil that i used when i assembled it not be burned off yet i did use quite a bit when i put the cylinder on the piston
