Thanks , Tunning the CVT is pretty easy to get the hang of . I like to be able to get the most out of my scoot without putting too much strain on the engine. Yes CVTs are a piece of cake, you should help RCQ get his in order though.

Let me ask , did you up jet the carb, I think it was running really lean and got nice and hot. Don't forget when you turn a hot motor over to someone they open it up and bend over the handlebars and see how fast can I go..LOL Some will take them down a hill to see how fast they can get it to go but at the same time the rpms climb out of site. So if you put in a 83 or so make sure you at least up jet the carb to a or so at least it has a chance of living a few days. Alleyoop

Well DM, that is a big difference that does not say to use PREMIUM FUEL it says to use octane or higher but I knew that. Every scooter says to use or higher, but what you people do not realize is that CHINA's Octane Rating is our 87 Octane. Case Closed. Alleyoop

No those Plates come from the manufacture, required by the EPA without them they are not allowed into the country. All the scooters come with use octane, but that is there Octane rating which is equivalent to our 87 octane here. Do you guys know that 99% of the gas stations over in china are octane and they only have a few high octane stations only because most of the big cars the rich folks drive require the high octane. They usually buy the big American cars which come with high compression motors and lots of horsepower. That is right GEH3333 all of them do WHY because of what I stated here: If you don't believe it is not hard to find the answer..LOL

I have to ask which scooters do you have that say to use premium fuel? Which do u have that say use 87 ? You need to learn how to read, DM is stating his SCOOTERS say to use PREMIUM FUEL hundred thousands of scoots, 50s, 150s or 250s+ I have never seen or heard of one that say to USE PREMIUM FUEL. So inquiring mines would like to know maybe there is something I DO NOT KNOW and will learn something new..LOL What I have does not say to use premium fuel. The only thing that I have that requires Premium Fuel is my 1998 Eldorado, I just traded in my 2001 STS which also took Premium and got the SRX SUV which take regular

Great post just like what oil to use, for the last time you do NOT have to use octane if you do not want for your scooter motors period. You can use any octane you want from 8? to period and that is the truth. If in your mind you feel better getting then go for it, if you feel better getting 87 then go for it BUT DO NOT believe anyone that tells you that you need octane in your lawn mower motor. Alleyoop Finally , that's what I've been saying . it is a choice . I was never stating you have to use . I was stating why I use . read my other posts in all the octane threads . some use 87 with no problem , and some say it caused problems . some use , some don't . it is a choice in which all have to make . i take both sides into consideration and made a choice finally thank you alley , lol. Your a funny guy now falling in after pushing ..LOL But that is good at least your learning some good poop.

Bogging on take off has nothing to do with the main jet PERIOD. Main jet comes in around 40mph. So if it is bogging on takeoff when you twist the throttle it is GETTING TO MUCH AIR not enough fuel. So you have TWO options cut some of the air off or feed it more fuel. The Pilot Jet feeds fuel all through the throttle range of course little less as the needle is coming out around 40 or so mph or on the 50s 20 or so mph.
