Hello once again peoples I have a 2004 Eton Beamer PN2 scooter with a 1E40QMB Horizontal Minarelli Oil injected 2 Stroke Engine (2004 Yamaha Zuma Clone By SYM made in Taiwan) I just installed a new Top end about 1300 miles back, All stock except a Benelli EX-M2 Expansion Chamber pipe my buddy gave me a few days back i am Topping out at 54MPH on flats, 51MPH Uphill, 58 Downhill My Carb has the Stock Main jet i put on a open air filter and it bogged out and would not run past 10 miles per hour so i went back to stock... My questions: What brand BBK should i buy with in the 1$-175$ range? What Main jet size should i run with considering i plan to use a open air filter as well as a 70cc BBK? Will i also need to Upjet my Pilot jet? (noob question) not sure if it matters or not? Considering i will only be braking in new Rings with a BBK, how many miles should be safe for a good brake in period ? (the Owners Manual for the scooter *50cc stock* says to run 50:1 oil ratio in the first tank of gas, and to not exceed 18MPH for extended periods of time for the first 1000 Miles) Should i still follow this ? and Last but certainly not least, considering the average speeds i listed above, any opinions on what speeds i may be able to reach with the new BBK After a proper brake in? Thanks i will be checking every 20 minutes for responses !

there are some good kits on parts for scooters and racing planet usa i would check speedometer with gps 54 mph is pretty generous usually you will find stock speedometers are off, usually speeds like that are from 70cc kit, when i did mine, i got it from racing planet and got the airsal kit with the single ring, but any kit from either sight should be fine, you will have to up jet,i was running with stock airbox and just put on a open filter and went to 100 but it may be different size on yours i would start high and go from there, i did not have to change pilot jet but some do, i ran mine kind of easy under 8000 rpms for around 100 miles and after that i have opened it up but with the new kit i don't need full throttle all the time, right now with the kit i am mixing 32:1 that is what they suggested, and have switched to synthetic as suggested by airsal, right now the speed i am getting has been able to keep up with my friends 150cc 4 stroke at around 55-56 mph, there are kits that you can get more speed out of and others less, you definitely will get there faster with extra torque

Nice kit , thank you for the responses, sorry for my own Late response i just got back from a 300 miles trip i decided on whim to do on the scoot broke 7000 miles during that was fun, i use Gps for my speedometer, although the instrument panel does accurately show speed, but only up too 50mph then it is useless past that i assure you it does 54 on flats, i pass cars all day hehe think it would be best to get a single ring or two ring piston ?, is there any Real reason to go with either ?, would a single ring piston brake in faster or would it not matter because both rings would be moving up and down at the same time anyway? Personally i think having two rings is a good thing, my last scoot had a raing melt and failt (bottom ring) i heard it happen while cruising at around 37mph, But i was able to ride the scoot 1 mile or so back home on the second ring believe it or not lol i am very pleased with this scoot, she does 54mph and the only upgrade on her is the chamber pipe exhaust (stock main jet) i plan to go up to a # main jet, open air filter Also THINKING about buying a big bore kit obviously, but the good ones aren't cheap and i am not rich lol. already have the jet and open air filter in the mail, still figuring out witch type of kit and brand i want

if that is the case you may be able to get it close to 60 , the kit i have is a single ring, i have heard the single rings wear faster i have a few hundred miles on it now, i just wanted to try a single ring aluminum kit, the aluminum kits are supposed to run cooler, the 2 ring more reliable and easier to tune from what i hear, i had a 2 ring bbk and found it was harder to tune than this kit, had a few thousand on it when it went, the bottom ring caught the port and tore the piston and cylinder up put a big grove in the cylinder wall, was actually a more expensive kit than the airsal i got, they both were quick, but this one seems to have around 2 mph top speed and gets there much faster, when i leave my drive way it is slight uphill i can get it up to 45 in less than a block, also with the single ring i found it much easier to install, but that is all personal preference, you may want to install heavier clutch springs too with the kit real helps with take off
