50mm bbk new carb free flow air So when my bike was runing lean it ran fine. but was severely overheating. Carb runs good but at wot would sound like i'm hitting the kill switch on and off . Then I lower the carb needle and it runs better. I then took the jet that came with the carb and swapped it with an . I have to lower the needle all the way for it to run and not sound like i'm flicking the kill switch. Basically the engine only runs good lean??? Forgot to turn off lights one day and the battery died and it charges while riding so the stator should be good. Also bypassed fuel petcock and plugged tank directly to carb to make sure it wasent the petcock... Same results

what size carburetor are you running is it stock carburetor that might be the problem, sometimes it is hard to get right if it is too small

I just don't understand why it would run better with less gas than more. I just replaced the stator and pickup coil. No change. Gunna try the cdi next. I went from stock to cheap orange one that claims to advance timing. No difference so I put stock back on. Changed coil to orange one too. Stock epa locked carb was destructively lean but less cutting out. This ones richer and more cutting out. Everytime I do something to get it more gas it reacts badly???

do you know what size jet was originally in there maybe jet in between and stock, to me with 50mm bbk seems like it would still be lean, i had a scooter that came with a 60cc engine and the main jet was an , my friend is running a jet with 72cc bbk and that is with stock airbox

It sounds to me like you're not getting enough fuel delivery to supply the carburator, and your carburator bowl is running dry. Since you have a petcock, you probably don't have a fuel pump. have you checked for a fuel filter and made sure of the routing of your fuel lines and that there is no kinking? Are the fuel lines original (chinese) or have you changed them. And, I know it is a new carburator, but is the float level set correctly? Before you do anything you need to know I'm not a scooter mechanic, but, I've been around vehicles for a long time.

When I hooked the tank directly to the carb it ran the same and the gas was spewing out as soon as i disconnected the line so it has god flow
