I have the stock pump and I have a Mikuni on hand just have not installed it yet . Yes I have heard too much oil is bad which one would think otherwise . I only pour in a sip . I have never had a seize on premix nor on my Honda scoots but I did on my stock 50cc engine long ago

2T is faster , no oil changes or valves to adjust , easier to service and rebuild . Here is a video of me going 50 MPH up a steep hill on my 2T even with 8 gram weights were most use 4 or 5 g . I have made some 150 riders mad as I out ran them while laughing Attachments:

How does the plug look ? I run a 120 MJ on my 2T with a 45 IJ oil pump and I give it a sip of 2T oil in the gas tank

If you go to any auto part store you can get a feeler gauge kit made for valves that has the end bent in order to fit in there for just a few dollars

I use Castrol Synblend since its dino and synthetic blended together . I have heard some unhappy results from using Royal Purple . Any brand name car oil should be fine just change every 1,000 miles or less and clean the oil screen each time

When you get the key set I would make at least one copy of it at any hardware store since you lost your last key . The blank is X84 HD74 . A local hardware shop near me is well known for being " The Keymaster " as they have way more blanks than anyone else and we had to try a few before we learned that blank worked . I have one for each of my scooters with out the plastic on it so that it is flat and fits inside my wallet as an emergency key . The blanks are stronger too . I bumped my key with knee while riding and had to put it in a vise to straighten it

So it runs fine correct ? Only has leaks at high RPMs ? My Echarm came with a blowby tube on the engine with removable plug on the end . At first it never had anything get in there . After I broke in the engine and I would wind it out until the rev limiter kicked in sometimes it would have bubbled oil in the tube . Only enough like a spit . I saw it for the first time and checked the oil level . It was ok and I drained it out . Later when it had more I had to pour in a sip of oil to top it off .
Just checking to be sure , is it not the gas over flow hose on the carb bowl leaking ? Sometimes if a vacuum pecock is stuck open it can over fill the bowl when sitting up . This is why motorcycles have a manual valve pecock to prevent flooding , and also have a reserve position which has saved me from pushing on rides that did not have a fuel gauge

The 70cc BBKs I see come with a head . On a 4T I have myself reused the stock head with an Air Sal 50mm BBK since it was designed to use it and had high compression . Yes some use and extra base to lower it . Now on my 2T I bought a MODCycles 47mm BBK which came with a head . You need to measure the width of the wristpins as they come in 10mm and 12mm sizes . Mine is 10mm . Now on a 2T the head is basically a lid or cap for the engine as the ports are in the cylinder instead of the head like a 4T . It may work but a proper size head may work better , Hopefully someone here has already tried this and will post their findings . A BBK will have more power but will require a larger idle jet and testing of larger main jets as 2T jetting is more picky . Some only have a 17.5mm carb or smaller and you may opt to get a larger size carb . Mine has a 19mm TK carb . I had a 40 idle jet and a 68 main jet but I installed a 75 MJ so it ran better when it was a 50 . With the installation of a 47mm BBK I bought a few MJs to test since I also put on an unrestricted exhaust pipe and a Uni airfilter . After testing I liked how a 120 MJ worked . I first kept the 40 IJ as they are hard to find for a TK carb , but the MJs are common Mikuni VM11/22 size . I later installed a 45 IJ as it started fine , but always needing the idle to be adjusted as the temperature changed and it would not idle for a long time without wanting to stall . I used to give it just a sip of throttle to start it but with the 45 no throttle needed to start or idle . To truly get the most out of it you will need to get a decent exhaust pipe with an expansion chamber in it . Some stock pipes are only tubing and a muffler . The expansion chamber plays a huge factor in getting the most out of the engine . You may also need to tune the CVT . I had 5 gram rollers which worked fine when it was a 50 but 5g is too light with a BBK and stock gearing . If you can afford it , around 500 dollars I would get a complete Power Kit with the engine , new CVT parts , carb , intake and exhaust like this one by Hoca at PFS www.partsforscooters.com/169-210_Power_Pack?sc=34&category=133366 . If bought separately it would be a lot more

I had one that would do 35 all day long . As old as it is I would say the rings and piston are worn , and to be able to get top speed a rebuild would be required

ALL pistons are aluminum it is the cylinder than can be iron or aluminum . Iron is cheaper and more forgiving in a soft seize
