I saw this and was excited to see how cheap it is and wondered if anyone has tried it www.partsforscooters.com/114-50-Minarelli-Main-Jet-Kit?sc=34&category=133078 I have a 19mm TK carb that I have bought Mikuni VM11/22 main jets from PowerBarn , but only priced as singles with no kit . I have seen plenty of 2T jet kits for the big name brand of carbs like Dellorto and Arreche which uses a diff stying than mine . I have a few 75s and a , a 105 , 120 , and 130 and 140 which were way too big and I want to test a 115 and 110 or less when I replace the Uni with airbox and outrageously loud racing pipe with the stock for now . I would like to hear from anyone who has tried this kit . Include carb specs and the quality of the jets . My jets have Mikuni and some Keihin ( spelled wrong may be ) , the fit just right . I think the PFS kit is generic instead of name brand

Mine would idle high when could for 2 minutes the idle down and would stall if left idling for long .
From Scootertronics website We have found number 21 series in 35 as to be a stock jet size in most GY6 carbs. By taking this up to 45 in our shop we have elminated problems with idle and midrange. Your pilot jet is used in half your throttle range at least with main kicking in at full throttle. Because the pilot is smaller it gets clogged even more easily than main.
When having gas flow problems in our shop we simply replace idle and main as well as air filter, gas lines, gas fliter, fuel valve and by doing this we have reduced future problems plus upgraded the fuel and air flow which greatly increases performance

Remove the sparkplug and check its color with this chart www.4secondsflat.com/plug_chart.html I had a piston crack and was an instant power loss but still ran . My dealer removed the hose from top of the valve cover to see if it smoked and it did which he said was bad . I blew it up again 6 weeks later but this time th piston exploded . Mad a (censored ) no way did I want another kit so I bought an Air Sal 50mm BBK . The timing chain may have jumped too . Does it backfire or sputter ?

I know it is in AC but my LC Echarm the CVT should be the same . I have 17k miles on my scoot with only DR Pulley sliders installed at 5,500 miles , new glide keys and belt at 12k . My dealer and I wear talking as I often stop by to chat , and he told me about another client had just over 20k of miles on his Echarm with stock rollers and the variator was worn out and had to be replaced . Since mine it coming up on 20k I wonder if mine will be worn out too . Unsure on how the other guys clutch was . When I hit 12k I put on a new belt to be safe . I barely had any belt or clutch pad dust at all . I watched a MRP review of the Echarm before I bought mine where they replaced the variator a clutch with a DR Pulley set and it made no diff where on the comparison scoot it was a huge improvement . My dealer told me the CFMoto CVT was not the same as the standard GY6 . So in short who has the most miles on a stock CVT

Yes the bar type did get damaged from so many tools in my box . I keep my clicker torque wrench in its own case

I also replaced the the glide keys too . Good advice to grease the clutch shaft . I would remove the CVT and run in on the CS to see how far the belt travels . I would be on the other side of the CVT cover to be safe as I have heard of parts flying out and hurting people . A test run you should be ok while on the CS ( center stand ) but never ride with the CVT off

Very expensive for their kit , will need custom fabrication and welding as its not a bolt on kit . A 150cc is a motorcycle and requires a MC license , tag and insurance . In SC I have seen several ride with a moped tag on a 150 but the cops are cracking down on those with a moped tag that go faster than 30 MPH . It is not worth having your scoot impounded as they may keep it instead of having a tow bill , have fines and drivers points on your license . In SC if your caught with no insurance you go to jail and the bond is not cheap .
Many fret over the idea of getting a MC license as some places you must take a MC riding class ( not a bad idea for noobs or veterans ) and basic liability in SC ( states and driver records will vary ) around 100 a year from Progressive insurance . Tag was 15 , 10 to register and 28 in property taxes for me . I zoom almost everywhere I go and have worried I would get a speeding ticket but with a MC and even better a helmet , the cops let me get by with it . I did get pulled over for doing 72 MPH by a state trooper and only given a warning ticket as he was curious what scooter could go that fast . I also had my college parking sticker on the trunk and I was nice to him .
If your are restricted to a moped , I would get a BBK which will have more power and help you go up hill and keep up with traffic on slow roads . A 2T 50 can easily outrun a 4T all day unless it is a Geely or a stand up type as those are single speed chain driven instead of having a CVT like the majority have

How many miles of the CVT ? With a BBK I would suggest a new belt too . Rollers will wear out and develop flat spots thus making them not roll like when new and round , Worn rollers do make a rattle noise like a bad bearing . My Echarm I replaced my rollers with DR Pulley sliders after reading on how many like them better than round rollers . First thing I noticed they are quiet , performance it a lot better , and they last so much longer than cheap OEM rollers . So far I have around 12k miles on mine and takeoff is better but I went from 75MPH to 70 MPH on top end as they have gotten lighter from wear . I changed my belt at 12k ( I have a meaty Honda V belt type instead of a thin belt like on the 50s ) and I went with a Kevlar Bando . The stock belt was still ok but had signs of wear and I replaced it to be safe . It is more fun to ride than push . I have read so many horror stories where a broke belt damaged the other parts and locked up the rear wheel . I also got new tires with the belt and I felt a vibration in the belt where the stock was always smooth . I also have the tires balanced which really cuts out a lot of vibration and bounce when going fast . I also replaced my Gates belt on my 2T with a Bando and it had the same vibration at times where the Gates did not . I have also read where a Kevalr belt can wear out the variator since the cords are stiffer than nonKevlar belts .
With a BBK you have more power so may may want to go up a gram or two in variator weights . If you find a roller weight that works for you get 1 gram heavier in sliders like Dr Pulley or Koso which I heard was good too . Balanced tires is beyond night and day improvement too .

49cc or BBK . Does it have starting or idle issues ? My 2T had a 40 IJ and I would have to give it a sip of throttle to start it and sometimes it would idle then die and I always had to adjust the idle speed as seasons changed . I now have a BBK , Uni and unrestricted pipe . I kept the 40 in it as they are hard to find for a TK carb where main jets are common . It would sometimes want to stall just before stopping at times . I now have a 45 IJ and it has every since started with no throttle even after sitting up for 3 weeks and idles as long as I allow it to . The small jets are well known for needing be cleaned every so often and if it was stored for a long time one would want to drain the fuel tank , carb bowl and remove the jets in order to clean by hand with carb cleaning spray or a stiff solid wire .
When jetting it is a lot of trial and error and retesting . There is no exact formula as conditions like altitude , climate and quality of gas play a factor in how it runs . Most jet kits only have MJs but a few include some IJs aka pilot jets too

I prefer clickers . Harbor Freight has theirs often on sale for ten bucks with coupon and you can you the same coupon on all sizes too . I had a torque wrench with the bar and it got bent after being in my toolbox . I broke off the arm and use it as a breaker bar for tight nuts
