I am running the same situation. HID headlamp 4 amp draw. 50cc GY6 modified half wave to full wave charging stator + fullwave R/R.
At a glance, the system seems to be balanced. At first I used a $20 multimeter and it showed bazaar readings when charging. At first I thought a problem, turns out the meter was no liking the Dirty power coming from the charging system.
I now ride for 30 minutes with the lamp on and then check the battery voltage. Seems to be working OK
I have noticed my charging keeps up. Although there is a Power Factor issue. I think a Power Factor capacitor would help. These are common in Power distribution systems in the house where single phase power meets motors.
I believe a full wave charging system is up to the Task but there is a little tweeking with a Capacitor to tune it in.
So in till we figure this out I'm riden Dirty. White and Nerdi

Having all those different weights is Cool. I have 5 gram/stock variator I took off so I used 3 old weights and 3 new weights and i spaced them 5-6-5-6-5-6. I have higher rpms. Not much, just right. The Slider tabs are pressed on tight. Bigger than original. Beefier setup.

Charge coils looses power as they heat up. as the wire heats up it's resistance rises. All coils do this. The net result is a loss of power. If the coil is marginally able to produce enough power to run the cdi cold it will fail to produce enough power when it gets hot. Do a ohms reading on the coil cold and hot. Replace Stator to correct issue.
