replace fuel line and filter. They have a nice little red one in the car parts stores for lawn mowers.
If your gas tank is nasty corrosion rust inside take the tank off put rocks in it with water and some dish liquid and shake it clean.

Pics up now. Gear no line up with camshaft. Check different cams and notice they press em on all over the place. I suspected this is a flaw but now I see this as an aspect to tuning.
I have a crank with the cam gear pressed on 1/2 tooth off. I set the cam using the hole method and I could not get it right. I took out the cam and compaired it to another one and noticed this. I place the cam in usend the keyway mark and it lined up perfect. I check it with a screw driver on the piston top and with overlap and also checked it with the keyway. It lined up perfect and it runs great.

How to power it is a good question. A modified stator to fullwave with the fullwave regulator is good for 3.5-4.5 amps.
The rest of the power would be coming from the battery. or Battery/cap combo.
This scoot looks like it has a 15 amp hour battery so fully charged it can deliver 7.5 amps for an hour before it is l dead. Dead meaning half of its rated power is used up and it's voltage is at 12.00 volts.
7.5 - 4 = 3.5 amps draw engine on it will go 2 hours.
This is of course with a new battery.
So as a custom Show piece that can crank out the tunes for a short duration is what it is all about.
My test show 10 amps on a mosfet amp 1000 watt driving 2 12" woofers would use at 10 amps steady at a nice volume level. This is with 250 AH battery Bank.
Like they say Down Iland on the sailboats, It's all about the Amps baby.

Those Caps are Sick Strong, With 4 amps at idle he should be able to rock the house. I had a 1000 amp driving 2 12 woofers cranking 80bd and the amp draw was an even 10 amps. 4 amps "little bitty scooter charging system" is manageable. Understandable not enough power but if he only drives 1 woofer it is enough. Run that amp bridged to 1 woofer and she be happy.

3 wheeled scoots are defective in design. 1. the rear wheel is missing. The weight of it acts like a vibration damper. Without it the scooter vibrates like crazy. Add a hack 100cc oversize to a stock 50 and you are asking for a major vibration monkey. Not to mention the engine will blow up sooner than later. Don't waste money on a 50cc trike. Buy a real one. Or sit on one and have you picture taken.  |

Make it look stolen. Repainted Ugly Or go the other way and do this  You could put your kids on it.  Pit Bull  Cut the scooter up and do this:  Get insurance on it. Towing and theft and liability and the whole package. Homeowners covers some, but you never know. |

Yuppp Totally sucks on the Video editing thing. I looked for one a long time and ended up going to a pawn shop and getting a Kodac Video cam and it came with its own software.
Now I shoot video so I only need to join sections together. No editing.

I checked the variator yesterday and the belt rides 1/16 of an inch from the edge. It riding all the way to the top. Cruise speed 35-37 mpg gps TomTom 47mm bore 16/50 gear
