Napa has the Gates Belts 669x18x30 non kevlar PL20507 $20 kevlar PL30507 $40 you have to pay for it and it comes on the truck the next day. My experence: Gates PL30507 is indestructible. It is amazing how far these will go. 5000+miles Bando Belt made in Japan: Indestructible. Operates at a higher rpm the Gates. Both belts I rotate. Run 1 a while and switch to the other. Like shoes, switch em around and they last forever. A friend shreeded his belt on his trike and I loaned him the Bando and he said he would bring it back in 2 days, I haven't seen him in 2 weeks,, Ha Ha. So i ordered 2 cheap ebay belts for loaners and next time I won't feel so bad getting dupped,

The Green ground wire from the stator connects to a ground terminal at the stator. This also connects to the engine block through the mounting bolt. If the connector terminal is melting look for a ground wire missing from the battery to engine block.
Or look for a ground wire you left off.

1. Have a gps that does logging. Produce the log for court. opps you don't have that. Oh, you didn't get a ticket "lucky Dawg" 2. Get the permit and go to court they will let you off. Done Deal. if not appeal it up.
Cops have it Rough. They are like the Trash People, having to deal with societies Trash. So it is not what it seems. Not like you think,, It is like what he thinks. It's thinking man. The Judge thinks way different. He was a lawyer befor he was a Judge and he knows all the ins and outs of the Bizzness.
They also know you weakness. your EGO. you need to switch it off because they feed on it. It will get you in more trouble in life that you are aware of. Beware of yourself. Don't get caught Yogi Bear knows.
It's not as bad as you think. It's worse LOL
In VA you get "caught going over 35",, key work CAUGHT,, this is from the Commonwealth's Attorney in Gloucerter County,, he said "DON'T GET CAUGHT "
If then you are on a motorcycle. You get hit with 1 no insurance. 2 no License class Motorcycle. 3 no tags no instection etc etc etc You Get the Idea.
So you didn't know about the permit,, So now you do. That's your Out. The Judge will see you were non-compliant and got the permit and are compliant you walk. PS don't take a hand gun to Court.

The Headlamp gets raw AC voltage from the stator. this is cut off at a preset level by a zener diode's reverse bias function inside the voltage regulator.
Normally a lamp will burn bright. If it seems not so bright, the culprit can be the regulator. The cutoff voltage is somehow too low.
Plug in a new one and see.
Remember the AC voltage feeding the lamp is crude. It is not a perfect sine-wave. It is so crude in fact, some meters won't digest the correct reading.
AC meters use RMS root mean squared
----------------------------------------------------quote Wiki----------- (wiki): "In mathematics, the root mean square (abbreviated RMS or rms), also known as the quadratic mean, is a statistical measure of the magnitude of a varying quantity. It is especially useful when variates are positive and negative, e.g., sinusoids. RMS is used in various fields, including electrical engineering." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scooter AC is Halfwave so RMS ain't going to work....
So don't believe the meter. Use the lamp brightness as a gauge.
one way to see if the lamp is burning bright is to attach it to the battery as a bench mark test. Then connect it to AC harness. see the difference.
Another aspect of the stator/magnet power system is it won't produce power above it design. Meaning if you add a brighter bulb, the bulb will show low voltage when it is on because it only receiving so many watts of power. If you add a bigger bulb it will still light but it will be Dim. Because it only has so much power to available from the stator.
This is what i call Stator saturation. at 65 watts max output, the stator is a full blast. If you ask it for 100 watts it won't burn out. It simply self regulates itself by saturation. Flux saturation. This is a cool way these little coils work and not burn out. The are self protecting by design.
You have to audit you system and see if you are over budget on power. Let's sat your brake light is stuck on. Thats 20 watts. Tail light is 10 watts, Headlight is 35 watts. Thats 75 watts and you are over budget. You need to replace the tail light with LED to redirect power to the headlight.
It is all power management. More power to headlight means you take it from somewhere else.
You can run a 50 watt headlamp if you changeout the taillight to LED. But you can start a fire in the housing if it overheats. So you have to think it out good and Happy Scoot'n'n

No, single phase 50cc 1/2 wave system 150cc fullwave single phase (Some, not all) 400cc + EFI most all have 3 phase.
50cc 70 watts 150cc 70watts - 120 watts 400cc+ 3 phase 260 watts

Not yet. No wet Yet.
The housing gets warm/hot while still. Runs cool moving.
Still gathering info of heat. Still need to cover, make dry for wet conditions. Still need to ground lamp for High Voltage path. Still Need to add grounded wire screen to wires between HV transformer to lamp.

Projector housings have an efficiency of 35%, They are a Joke. As you can see from the video, unless you on windows , the light pattern is as close to perfect for glare control as one would expect. This is in testing phase and if someone has a better idea of a suitable lens array I'm all IN. Light Core.

Disclaimer- I don't usually do this, Bash a seller but if you like your scooter and need good parts, You an'it going to find parts cheap on ebay as good as the original parts that came on your bike.
Got a cylinder head of ebay.
Ran it 300 miles Boom.
Valve guides made out of Butter. This head would not get quiet. I adjusted the valves like 6 times. .003, .004. This head made a racket. It didn't sound good. When it got hot it clattered like rocks in a clothes dryer.
Finally the engine died. Lost compression. I pulled the head and checked the valves guides and they were toast. These valves are so loose it's unbelievable.
Also I got a variator stock it wore out 600 miles. Clutch came bad right out of the box.
There is a lesson in here somewhere.

Check cam timing. Check intake heat spacer for being put in backwards.
