Hey gang, apparently I'm going to have continued carb. issues. I fired up the scooter this morning to find that fuel was once again pouring out of the vent tube on the carb. I took the whole thing apart to clean it all out and found some "stuff" on the pin that the float, I believe, activates. I didn't think to take a picture and I've now put it all back together with similar gas pouring out of the vent results. The "stuff" looks kinda of like the hard water build-up on a faucet. I hosed it all down with carb cleaner, and while that cleaned it up some it didn't get it back to prestine, though I should have used a brush of some sort. Which brings me to my question... I just bought a new carb and I'd like to know if there is anything I can do to keep this from happening again. I've used Stabil or an equivalent in the gas over the winter, but I'm not positive what it does. I didn't maintain the scoot over the winter the way I probably should have, didn't start it up at all or anything like that and that would have likely helped. Anyone have any advice or suggestions? Thanks for your help!

replace fuel line and filter. They have a nice little red one in the car parts stores for lawn mowers.
If your gas tank is nasty corrosion rust inside take the tank off put rocks in it with water and some dish liquid and shake it clean.
