Well nevermind, those other guys have better technical ideas/diagnostics than mine. I sure hope you get it figured out. On here, you don't have to pay just for people to help you out, that's why we're all here!

If it sounds like a lawnmower, maybe your exhaust gasket blew out? That happened to my brothers V.I.P 50 and we put a new gasket on and no more lawnmower sound. As for your high temp in your cvt, and belts breaking, that could be in the way you operate the bike. Do you ride wot a lot/redlining? Traveling really really far distances? My cvt has everything upgraded and it still gets a little hot. There is an opening on the front cvt case for cooling, sometimes theres a rubber cap with holes in it, sometimes theres a short hose. check that and see if it is blocked and not allowing air to get in.

[replyingto=scootypuffjr]scootypuffjr[/replyingto]Mine did that when I first got it. In my case it was usually a fuel problem. My fuel filter was under the seat bucket, and the fuel line was getting pinched from the seat bucket, so I relocated the fuel filter. Also, I changed out the fuel petcock to a better quality Mikuni fuel petcock. Never had a fuel problem again.

Did you gain any weight since the last one you built? ;D You have a lot of experience? What's the first performance thing I could add to my 150cc taotao scooter? If I was to do it over again as far as the first mods I did on mine, I would say all the stuff in the CVT, Variator, weights, belt, Torque spring, etc. If you can afford it, just get the NCY CVT kit, that's what I did, and it comes with everything.

I would imagine that you could just use the same kind of oil that is recommended for the PDI. Dump the Chinese crap, and put good quality oil in.

[replyingto=doublert]doublert[/replyingto][replyingto=doublert]doublert[/replyingto][replyingto=doublert]doublert[/replyingto]Well, going to adjust the valves tonight when it cools down outside. Guess we're gonna make them .004 intake and .004 exhaust. Does that sound about right from what you guys say? My brother says he already knows about the timing on the flywheel, and the holes lining up on the cam chain plate thing. Any other things to check on or adjust?

Hello all, I'm pretty sure my scoot needs a valve adjustment, noticed the past few days its beginning hard to start, couple times to crank it and give it some gas, its never been like this, even in the winter. I guess my question is, which size feeler gauges do I need, and what to set the valves at? (sorry I forgot). Its a 150, its the scoot in my sig. below, and all the mods too. Thanks everyone! Randy

[replyingto=bambamofatlanta]bambamofatlanta[/replyingto]I got some LED lights from Advance, 2 4inch lights, came with fuse/complete wiring harness. Got my wiring and grounds figured out, gonna try to install them tonight. So tired of these CRAPTASTIC BULBS screwing up One night I had to ride 15 miles back home at 12:30 out in the dark country roads with a small hand held led flash light..... I have to keep spare flashlights with me cause I never know when my lights are gonna crap out on me!!!

Cant seem to keep headlight bulbs from going out. I've done replaced them with about 5 sets in one year. Could it be the regulator under my front plastic? Mine is the handsome boy style, like the Peace vip model. Also while my scoot was running, I disconnected the harness from the regulator and it kept running. Is this normal? Thanks guys, Randy

Now everybody is gonna switch and start buy gas at all the BP stations!!!! I just use octane non-ethanol ken

[replyingto=larry001964]larry001964[/replyingto]My aftermarket fan blades are not reversed for some reason? They are going the same direction that my stock fan blades are? That's weird..... I was wondering why the other guy said his blades were reversed, mine are not.
