Peformance fans are a waste of money. They have a steeper pitch on the blades, which in turn puts MORE of a load on the motor thereby ROBBING power! If you have a heat problem, it's better to make a scoop for the fan inlet ;D

i saw the racing altenator before what does that do?

Okie here is the thing about those "RACING" Fans vs the stock oem fans.
in the scooter world "Racing" most of the time means lighter than stock. as for the fan it is lighter than stock which means less weight the crankshaft has to turn. But it does not cool the engine any better. They actually make the engine run about 50 degrees hotter. Usually for a stock engine they are not too bad but for a engine that has performance part it is not good. They have a lower CFM than stock.
So basically stick with the stock. I actually stopped selling them a while ago because i was getting complaints from customers.

i saw the racing altenator before what does that do? The racing alternator kit such as the NCY one or other brands basically all it has is a lighter flywheel which does help alot. But there are companies out there such as here in Puerto Rico that charge about $80.00 or so and take your stock flywheel and make it real light and your scooter runs alot better. but other than that the stator is nothing different from what i was told.

I bought the red Hoca fan as well, from what ive read above, I guess its gonna come off too. If walt isnt selling them anymore, and took them off the shelves, I guess it really is harmful... BTY, Walt, got my NCY header gasket today, Thanks for such quick shipping!!!

where are they $80 parts for scooters is $210 you misunderstood. There are companies such as machine shops that will take your flywheel your stock flywheel and machine it down in certain areas making it really light just like the ncy or hoca ones. but finding someone to do that in the USA is not easy. Usually only done here in Puerto Rico and the shops charge about $80.00. The NCY and Hoca kits run about $210+ but those are all ready made in Taiwan and ready to go.

I ran into the same problem with the Hoca Performance fan, was the main source of my over heating problem when Fawkes was a stroker... Put the oem fan back on and Fawkes quit over heating... If i were to do it again I would i would just do a scoop with the oem fan.
