I have a cheap 26mm carb not sure what jet was in it, it wasn't marked, but anyways i removed it and rejetted before i installed it Which jet did you use? Alley said above, that I may need a 110 or 112. I'm extremely low on funds, got fired 4 months ago, just got my original job back today.

Would It be safe mixing 12gram weights with 14gram weights? Just trying to experiment with my cvt a little. Some people mix weights, just wondering if this would be ok. Thanks, Randy

[replyingto=alleyoop]alleyoop[/replyingto]Hey Alley, My Carb is the cheap 26mm found on eBay for around 23-30$ I don't know what size jet is in it, I have never taken it apart. Surely someone on here has that carb maybe? Or I could just get a 115 or 120 and hope it would work? Hit or miss I guess. Makes me wonder how much power i've been losing cause of it being lean...... Anybody here got the cheapo eBay 26mm Carb? What jet is in it? Thanks, Everyone!

To find what the motor needs do this: Bring it up to WOT and when it starts to act up BACK OFF THE THROTLE 1/4 of an inch and HOLD IT THERE. 1. If the scoot speeds up it LEAN and needs more fuel 2. If the scoot just settle down it is to RICH Also the reason yours does not spin the tires is due to your 15/36 gearing it does not have the power on the low end. Alleyoop It does the bogging no matter what speed, I'll leave from a stoplight and just increase up to 15mph, then gas it WOT, and it will bogg down, when I'm doing 55-60mph, I'll gas it hard, and it will do the same thing it was doing just at 10-15mph or any speed (20-30, 30-45). Otherwise when I'm just riding normal and not gassing it hard it is just fine. Alley, I did notice tonight riding home, I was going about 55+ then gassed it WOT and it bogged down, I immediately let off it dropped down to 50, so I held it at 50 normally and my speeds started to gain back to 55 just like normal.

Hey guys, I never ride WOT, but today I did, and also tonight is when I really noticed at WOT it would bogg down real bad, like cut out as if someone is stopping up the airfilter. What gives? The reason I've never noticed it before is cause I never ride WOT since my power and speeds are just fine with my set-up below in my sig. Whatever it is, I don't like it. Also, my brothers Peace 50 V.I.P will spin tire when the front brake is held, I don't think mine will, except on wet grass.
Thanks everyone, Randy

[replyingto=yelloscoot]yelloscoot[/replyingto]Hey, I was nervous about getting into the CVT at first. Watch a couple of videos on youtube, sometimes I had to watch them over and over but I got it. Now I can change out weights, take variator apart, change belt, pull clutch, Blind Folded! Yes Blind Folded, my brother watched me do it cause he didnt believe me. Then he asked me if I can take my 2k Torque spring out and put back together Blind Folded, I never tried that, so I made an atempt...... I dont have the right socket or clutch nut removal tool, so I use the Vise, and a rubber Oil Filter wrench which works just fine, to remove the Clutch nut, while blind folded, I very carefully used my knees to hold the clutch down while I slowly removed the nut, took the spring out and put the clutch back together the same way I took it apart and so on for the rest of the assembly, all completely Blind Folded. Hey, it might be stupid, but it was fun!

14gram with 10gram ,,,,,,,,Why not just get 12"s?? Not understanding the dilemma here. The idea is to fine tune. Mixing these weights just makes no sense at all. I already have Koso 12gram weights in it now, I had 10grams in it before, but I didn't like the high rpm and was missing my top speeds. The 12's are good for now, I already have some Hoca 14grams on the way. My bottom end is good, with the 2k spring and the 2k clutch springs seems to work fine for me, plus I guess all the mods I have. Wonder what the biggest/best size BBK I can go with without having to bore? Also best head? 2 valve or 4 valve? My brother is our Mechanic, I buy the stock/inventory and he does the Wrenching! LOL! We're a team, what can I say.....

[replyingto=oldchopperguy]oldchopperguy[/replyingto]Well that being said, I'm gonna try mixing 14gram with 10gram and see how that works. I had the Koso 1500 torque spring in, but I took it out and put my other 2000 torque spring in, gonna mix them weights and see what happens, I also have the NCY 2000 clutch springs in the clutch, (the red ones), I always forgot that I had them in there

Couldn't find any info on here, but I did find it on Scootdawg. Some people are splitting up rollerweights? 10grams with 14grams? Even seen some are running like half of the roller weights in the variator, kinda like, 3 16gram rollers? Or 4 or something? Now this caught my eye, Its like they were getting awesome bottom end, and also hitting good top end as well. I didn't know this could be done. I kinda knew that you could run diff. weights every other one, but all that mixing got me confused. I now have 10gram, 12gram, and 14gram weights in my collection........anyways just a thought.

I'm ordering a BBK and all kind of other stuff for my brothers Peace VIP 50 scoot. I'm also ordering him taller gears to go in it as well. Does anybody know which gear set to get for the Peace VIP 50?

Found some 117mm Variators on eBay. Has anybody tried one? Wonder what kind of differences than the 115mm variator?

Now for the lawnmower sound I am not sure if it is the gasket because when I took off the muffler and started it up the bike sounded normal just a little bit louder then after 10 sec's something sounded like it popped and it started making that noise. When I first got the bike and before the belt broke for the first time I could drive it for 30 mins or even a hour at WOT and the CVT area wouldn't be to hot just a little warm, the way it is now though seems about close to the 200F. I believe though that the heat was coming from the old piston because there were scorch marks along side of the piston so that means that the rings must have been going bad so the heat was passing through the engine which is right next to the CVT area. Well, it sounds like we should pay you 50$
