One of those headband mounted flashlights (like a miner wears) so both hands are free to fix what is broken, plus the light is always shining where you are looking.

howdy, i'd carry a credit card so i can call and have a new scoot delivered where i break down and they can carry the old one away
that's intended to be mildly intertaining not churlish
lotsa miles and smiles to ya ken

I am a tool nut and carry a few goodies with me when i ride . A flashlight and another handsfree light can be a best friend when on the side of the road doing repairs . Go to Harbor Freight as they have low priced tools that are decent hand tools and many items too . Lowes has some decent prices on Kobalt ( their brand of tools ) as I bought a small metric socket set with rathchet that is open so it can go through a long bolt , a multi wrench with many ends , a mutitool with allens and a lock blade , electrical tape , zip ties are great to have with many uses , a change purse loaded with quarters , decent screwdrivers as those in scooter toolkits are crap , pliers or a Leatherman multitool with pliers , a large display tire pressure gauge as the pen type are not that good , as easy to read or as accurate , a rag that is oil or gas soaked , paper towels in a ziplock bag , spare fuses as my Echarm takes 3 instead of only one like most , spare bulbs if you have a protective box , and a rain poncho .
Sometimes I include a towel to dry the seat or cover it to prevent it from getting hot in the Sun or a scooter cover tarp . Some ride with a 12V impact driver and spare belt . In my trunk I like to have bottled water and a snack . A windbreaker is great to have when its warm during the day and cools down at night .
I have never needed a sparkplug on the road but it would be gold if needed . I have seen and read where some popped out and the threads ether were or got stripped . Leave in the box with the protective end so the gap does not get bent .
A tire plug or patch kit with CO2 catridges would be sweet but I have never used the CO2 ( like bb guns use ) to inflate a tire . Theleare is tiny 12V compressors but are not in the same league as larger home compressors

i only carry two things: a marker and a bond paper. if i stall in the middle of the road, i'll write "HELP" on the paper and show it to the passersby. seriously!
