howdy mr jarlaxle, i didn't see anyone camparing 30 year old tires to 3-4 year old tires and i dislike your use of the word stupid. maybe you can hold that opinion to yourself?

howdy, it sounds like a bad ground wire to me. in this case, the battery might not have a full charge either. it could be also , as mentioned, a bad battery, but i would suspect the ground.

howdy leo,
the grand vista may seem right and are right for short trips , but you will feel cramped after an hour or so. that little bolster in the middle will come off with three bolts. you will probably be more comfortable with it removed so you can move around some.

howdy, you should never-never be reading 17 volts when reading voltage from negative to positive terminals. if you do you will soon be smelling heated tuna fish smell and soon after disaster will strike. you need to get the regulator fixed.

howdy, it's strange that my 350 actually has a 330 cc engine and most 300's have less than 300 why not just call it what it is? most 250s seem to have closer to what the label says. ummm some kinda politics going on.

howdy and welcome to the forum. i haven't seen the forza at the local dealers here but it would seem that it would be minimally adequate for freeway riding here where the speed limit is 65.

howdy, i also like having the top trunk which around town holds my helmet, gloves and such under lock. there's room under seat for raingear etc and even room up front where the whole front tilts rearward and has room for gloves and a power point for charging the cell phone. so to put it in focus, when i travel for weekends etc most of what i need can go in the on=board storage with only a small duffle for extras. the top-case comes off with key and i carry the duffle and top-case in where ever i am overnighting.

howdy, i just don't get entirely what is going on. the battery was dead but you started it with a foot crank? then tested the things you mentioned?
if the battery was totally dead and you started it even by jump start, the battery is still dead. i would guess that all the charging output is going to the battery leaving little for the rest of the electronice. thus the diminishment when you turn brake light etc on and voltage drops so the anomalies you describe happen. i would suspect that if the battery were fully charged, you would not notice those anomalies. the battery may have a dead cell which is eating all the input. or there is no electrolyte to facilitate the charge. as stated above, with engine off the battery should read 12.7 volts across the terminals and running the voltage should be in excess of 13 when the engine rpm is above idle. if the battery is not functional all the test info is useless. buy the new battery charged up or get this one charged somehow. then make the tests.

yeah, howdy. if it was me, i would not mind if the offer included the other party paying the license and title transfer fees? maybe he figures he'll find someone wanting a cotorcycle that has no cash and willing to trade that 10,00 buck jag for a chance to ride a scooter---
