I am currently running two different weights of sliders in my scoot but was wondering peoples thoughts about the pros and cons of running all the same weights versus mixed weights.

Honestly I'd recommend starting fresh with a new carb, they're not that expensive if you check on Amazon or eBay, all new vacuum/fuel lines, fuel filter and a fuel pump, maybe a plug too. At least then you'll know what you're working with a little bit better.
No more than 87 miles on it and honestly it's probably too early for a valve adjustment though it never hurts to check them out.
Not sure about the backfiring issue, I'm still learning these things every day as well.
Hope this helps.

Possible vacuum loss at high speed. Check for vacuum leaks as well.

I'll be changing the final gear ratio for sure.

If that were an option I'd have done that vs modding the 50cc.

Mainly whether to use 1k, 1.5k or 2k torque springs and variator weights. I pretty much know what parts I want, just want to narrow down some of the variables and was hoping for some others to share their set-ups that have achieved similar performance to what I'm wanting.
Didn't realize it was a bad thing to come to this forum asking for information....

I recently got a 50cc VIP scooter and am looking to mod a few things.
My starting point is bone stock.
Where I'd like to end up is 45 mph average top speed. I live in Missouri with mild hills and most of my travel will be on open paved county roads with some city sprinkled in.
Not looking to break the bank, just parts here and there that can help me achieve the desired goal without a lot of money spent on parts that won't help in the least.
A BBK is an option later down the line, but I want to work on everything else before I get to that point.
Suggestions.....GO!

I've got a Powermax 150 too, love that thing. What'd you plug the line from your CVT into? I just put a uni filter on mine and wasn't sure what to do with that hose.

Mine does the same thing. Always has since I bought it brand new. Could I possibly run a performance filter instead of adjusting the mixture (it's a stock carb)?
I've got on a performance exhaust and it pops when decelerating. I think I read somewhere that that means that it's running rich?

Finger tight doesn't seal and could be causing the soot on the outside that you're referring to. If the plug isn't tight then exhaust will leak out around it meaning lost power. Not saying to lock it down with all your might, but a snugging will do just fine.
The exhaust leak could lead to problems with the valves so a month ago may not mean anything depending on how bad the leak is. Doesn't cost anything to check em again.

The filament burned out on my low beam last season. I had to go everywhere with my high beam on just to have a light lol. Try a new bulb as most have said above

Good to know. I won't waste my time trying to take it off then. Thanks for the answer!

Have you pulled the spark plug and looked inside? I can't imagine that the compression would keep it from turning by hand, but just a thought.
