It will help, but you may have to wrap some duct tape around part of that uni, which defeats the purpose. You usually do need to up-jet the main when doing intake and exhaust mods. Good to know. Thanks for the info! I've still got the stock carb on and didn't want to tear it apart or replace it unless necessary (shortcuts are bad, I know that).

Any performance gain? I know removing the same system on a car equals more power, same effect on a scooter? No emissions where I'm at.

I'm running stock bore with a performance exhaust and a blue CDI. Could raising the needle enable me to use a uni filter without having to order a new adjustable carb to avoid running too lean?

The dealer is an idiot then. Batteries do not recharge themselves. Your stator will help keep it charged but if the scoot sits a lot, that won't do anything. Scrappyogs sells a lithium one for $ (I think) that should last you nearly forever. Yes, I known $ is a lot for a scooter battery but considering you'll probably never have to buy another one....priceless. =))

You know how to modify the CVT in scoots, same concepts, lets see you mod your car to be a racing automatic! lol He can put sliders on it, I wonder which weight is better I'd bet on 1-3 lb. sliders...where do ya think I can get em?

After reading this thread and looking around and pricing some 4 valve heads, is anything else required for the installation besides what would come in the kit? (head, cam, rockers, gaskets, etc.) I saw 4 valve bores also listed. This is what I was wondering if it was necessary.

My 2006 Ford Freestyle has a CVT in it. It's nice that it doesn't shift though it doesn't have the punch when passing.

A local muffler shop has good prices and I was considering having them make me a custom exhaust for my scoot and using a 12 inch glass pack on the end. How well would that work or would it even work?
The main reason for this is I cannot seem to find any bolt on exhaust kits that I KNOW will fit my scoot. Don't wanna spend that much coin only to have it not fit, so I was considering this as an alternative.

I've been looking at the performance variator from Scrappy Dog Scooters for 150cc and was wondering if anyone on here has had some experience with that one? Do you know what brand it is? Not sure. I think they're selling it as their own brand.

I borrowed one from a friend while my car was down and ended up buying a 150cc Powermax for the fun of riding and a daily commuter when the weather cooperates.
Put nearly 4000 kilometers on it this summer alone and I HATED putting it up for the winter. Can't wait for next year!
