I carry: Rain coat and pants, jumper cables, cable lock, bag of tools like the ones you mentioned and small flash light

I ride mine to work, about 26 miles round trip. I ride year round unless roads are bad with snow, today started out it was 25, suppose to warm to 37 today

I have a 1983 xs650 Heritage Special Yamaha and love it, I like HD's too but can't afford one, I'd say in my area for the most part the HD guys will wave at me even on my scooter and some have respect for me because I ride my scoot even in the cold whether, they don't

I have hundreds (maybe thousands) of miles in the rain, accidents can happen and I'm glad kxj5606 was going slow. glad your didn't get hurt too bad. I always allow a lot of distance between me and cagers when its raining.
