Yup, I'm still working on the 250... I started doing some airbrush work. I used some stencil and it went really quick. It took me longer to mask then to actually do the paint work. Yeah, I made a few mistakes, but for a first try I think it looks awesome...

Its a duel action I bought from amazon for bucks including the compressor.... I don't know much about air brushes but I really like it.

with practice the duel action will allow you lots of control of airflow and the paint flow the more you press the button down will give you more paint and the more you pull back on the button the more air you will get so you can get different effects with it it is a great little paint gun

Yeah, I made a few mistakes, but for a first try I think it looks awesome... I disagree. I think it looks awesome for ANY try! Very nice job indeed! And I looked for the mistakes, zoomed in, but couldn't see them. Good job! >'Kat

I think we're ALL in agreement!
Me thinks you're going to find yourself in a lucrative spare-time business here! Do you know how many chopper and crotch-rocket jockeys would pay you big bucks for doing their rides? A whole bunch!!!
Looks GREAT, and NOW you have a nice potential second income in these hard times! Heck, you could probably live on the income from just doing helmets!!!
Your work looks good even for a pro! I'm fair with an airbrush myself, but I couldn't do that kind of work quickly... Quality, AND speed... THAT is the secret of making money at it! I'm a professional artist, and I'm telling you that you have a natural talent here that you should cultivate! I'm impressed!
Keep up the great work!

This was not freehand, I wish I was that good. I used a stencil. When I do the tail of the scooter and front fender, I try to make a video of it. It was very easy.

Great work! I have been around for many years and have seen lots of airbrushing on tanks and bikes, stencil and free hand and I am here to tell you you did a great job. I have seen some horrible attempts with stencils, bleed thru, too much paint or not enough, I agree with Leo. Esp since he is an artist, he knows what he sees. Don't be ashamed of using a stencil, even tatoo artists use stencils.

Sure, no harm in stencil use. One of the premier motorcycle airbrush artists in Las Vegas uses multi piece vinyl on the more complex designs, and removes and blocks out areas as he paints.. I know, cause my shop makes his vinyls. Stenciling is just a technique, like sponge and brush combinations. It's the concept and end results that define the artist. Keep up the good work..

My buddy has an extra goldwing side bag top he's gonna bring over so I can practice some more.... I can't wait to do some more. Since I have a goldwing too, I'm trying to learn different things, and get to where I can do more free hand, real flames, and other things.... I also want to go on a stencil shopping spree...
