the belt will hold it off alil til u put the bolt on unless you have the belt pushed way down in the rear clutch so it has room. it was on the splinds rt you know in the groves

no on center stand. take all bolts out and hold cover in place and someone start motor and carefully remove the cover and watch it on stand while giving it some gas. you can hole starter Bendix in place with screw driver on tip. i think u will find its the bearing in the clutch i change alot of them cause of roaring and vibration

have you run it with cover off cvt to see if the belt is jumping up and down due to clutch not operating smooth cause the belt to floop at some rmps. or the clutch bearing could be going bad that will cause what you are describing. just a thought.

Alley you was dead on it is the fuel control valve you cant see any gas in the line but if i unhook the vac going to it and plug vac line at intake idles fine it must be so lil gas it does show up by just looking at vac line but when its running with vac line off you can feel very lil wet gas on finger after it idles for a few min. when you good u good and alley you know your stuff. i have seen them go bad and alot of gas come from vac line but that wasnt the case here. do you know if this kymco tank mount valve will be same as all others made in china.

i have got alot of those blue cdi that would go bad after a very shot time and have to replace them i have seen them cause many types of running problems to get hot wont crank. i have used probly 10 and out of 10- 4 went bad with in a few miles and 2 went bad after few 100 miles and 4 never had a problem. so when i see one of them on a bike in my shop that wont run right i try a stock cdi first to see if it is that cdi. at best i give them 50/50 chance . i have found the orange cdi to be more dependable. just my 2 cents

i have got them out a few times with vise grips when pep broke them off. i would use the corect studs my self so not to strip out head. a small good pair of vice grips will get them out just make sure you got a good bite on the stud before turning you dont get many shots at it before there is nothing to grab. it is best to take head off so you got room to work

what poping are you hearing explain. and have you tracked it to rear end or could it be coming from somewhere else like cvt cover. give more info like when you hear it at what speeds things like that are you riding alone or with a rider aboard. is it only when u hit a bump. and do you hear it if you turn the wheel by hand on main stand. is there any play (slack) in rear wheel side to side. what makes you think it is the bearings.

heat they just take a lot of heat and they not made of much. alot of times they get broke when a belt breaks. i just keep a eye on mine when i check belt they wear right at the center where the 3 plong clip is that holds drive face on it melts right through the fan then they wobble and some times hit the cover and break. also if the vent thing is missing from vent hole a small rock can some times get in the and break them

well i guess im lucky most of the time i can get my parts at dealer price and fix it myself. i would hate to think there was no places like this where u can get great help. i learned most of what i know from scootdawg and here over the last like 4 years or so now i work on these things ever day it has become a full time job it seems.

not good to run hard down hill its a easy way to over rev before you even know you did. I say keep below 8000 much as possible unless you got lots of money for parts and repairs. you can work with your roller weights to get the most out of your bike and keep rpm under control. happy riding
