power band is around 7200 to 7500 i tell the people that i service their bikes never more than 8500 rpms and thats lil high i would say 8000 for long rides would be max id run mine. any thing more is only gonna shorten the life of your motor. also remember if your bike has a tach it is a good chance its off one way or the other i check them against a tiny tach to see if they off and if so by how much and let my people know.

On the center stand mine does 10K RPM, but bolts will spontaneously loosen.
While riding i don't often get more than 8k RPM. Most of the time I'm running at 7200 tops, 8000-8500 downhill.

not good to run hard down hill its a easy way to over rev before you even know you did. I say keep below 8000 much as possible unless you got lots of money for parts and repairs. you can work with your roller weights to get the most out of your bike and keep rpm under control. happy riding

If my engine blows because of overrevving, I just buy another scoot. For $<900 delivered it's the better option compared to buying parts, and spending weeks trying to fix the broken one. Quite often such scooters still count for $200 worth on parts. Sell it off to a scooter garage that fixes these scoots, and your new scoot costs you less than $700.

well i guess im lucky most of the time i can get my parts at dealer price and fix it myself. i would hate to think there was no places like this where u can get great help. i learned most of what i know from scootdawg and here over the last like 4 years or so now i work on these things ever day it has become a full time job it seems.

Even still I put way too much time into customizing and caring for mine to just up and willy nilly buy another scooter no matter how much money i have for another. I would buy the cheapest scooter new I could find, strip it for parts and keep them on hand for my trusted friend since everything is pretty much interchangeable. Im getting motor, cables, harness, cdi..list goes on. You are gonna have to replace all this stuff anyway and now you have it.
