better to do a running voltage test for ac output . unplug the stator square plug, read the white wire to ground at idle and reved up 4 or 5k . Then do the same for the yellow to ground acv report back what you find .

John white to ground idle 20-25v white 4-5k= 35-45v yellow to ground idle 20-25v yellow 4-5k=35-45v sounds to me like it might be ok? maybe voltage regulator?

I agree it is your regulator , but just to be sure . plug your stator back in and unplug your regulator and retest the yellow and white wires at the regulator plug . If the voltages are close to the same at idle it is your regulator . Remember don't rev to 4 or 5k rpm with the regulator unplugged it will blow your bulbs . Run it quick . John

John OK TV....I just replaced the regulator....and get this....when I first started the low beam lights came on ok...after a few secs they went dim. I checked ...while running the battery is not charging.....when I put the high beams on the lights work fine. I checked while running again...low beam = no charging as soon as I put high beams on its charging? ? Any ideas? LOL

that sounds very strange , I would go over the grounds . Can you put the high beams on with the key on and the engine not running ?
Where did you get the regulator can you post pics of the regulator you bought and the one that was there ?
