checking the vin #? i'm sorry but unless they do things different in indiana they were there for some other reason and used that as an excuse... how often has a fugitive lived for countless months in his own home without so much as a knock on the door by the police? and now they are randomly checking scooter vin#'s because one has been stolen? LOL... why they harassing your neighbor? what he do? Anderson Indiana population just over 50,000. It's a far cry from what we know in south florida.

You guys are weird bikes are water proof everyone I have owned was anyway. One of them was Chinese and washed it just like the rest of them. Dirty bikes are dangerous keep your scoot clean I'm with you. Even my china scoots gets a normal wash. During the PDI I take care of any connections that don't look watertight.

New Scoot!

Congrats on the new scoot !
I have a 2010 Cali Classic in my stable of bikes and love it. It looks good is a strong performer for the money the fit and finish are second to none.
That being said it is what it is, a 125cc small wheel scooter. It pulls well and I can cruise at 50-55 no problem, after that there's little left. Again not bad can't ask for much more from the displacement.
I agree on the seat. I put a Roho Airhawk seat cushion on and it helps with the back. It also allows the rider to move back a little on the seat as it negates to hump in the seat. The ride is ok for a 12" rearl wheel. I'm a big wheel scooter fan so this scoot is different to me. Not bad just more "scooter like" .
I'd suggest anyone thinking of buying this bike to be sure it fits. For anyone of size this is not the scooter for you. I'm 5'8" with a 30" inseam and its close to being cramped.
I've got over 7000 miles on mine and never so much as a burp. It just runs and runs.
Good luck with the new ride.

Once out in the sun even the best adhesives will start to breakdown. IMO it's not worth the risk of "tacky butt" if it fails.

howdy, as stated above, none of my scoots have ever quit and left me stranded. they were sym(4000mi),kymco(8000 mi), and two piaggios(over 11,000 miles). i am headed out sunday or monday for a 400 mile jaunt across the desert and back a week later. nary a thought of breaking down. i'll carry a bag of peanuts with me just in case lotsa miles and smiles to ya ken and not a china scoot among the Four . Thanks for help in proving the point !

Where was that gorgeous piece of land you were considering? Won't you want to be reasonably close to there? Or did that fall through? If you're free for wherever, then I'd say Orlando and show Paradizo how real customer service is done! There's always room for a good honest shop when the big boy isn't necessarily either. >'Kat That was close to Jacksonville where i grew up and my parents live. But in that area there are very little GY6 150cc type of scooters. I have already checked. Lots of 50cc and Kymcos. Later on i might get into the 50cc world but for now we are just 150cc parts. No question there are a ton of Kymcos up here. It's college kids on 50s or 300cc plus maxis.

Trunk and saddlebags, the "badge of honor" for old bikes everywhere. I can't imagine not have all the storage.

If you're looking to cruise I would avoid the china scoot. If you're a wrench turner then maybe as its "save yourself" with china scoots.
I would look at SYM and Lance lots of bang for the buck. Also Kymco and Genuine .There are also a lot of leftovers out there that can be had at a discount. I sad discount not cheap but in the long run you'll have better support.
I twisted wrenches on Harley's for years and don't care to do it to my scoot. Just my preference
For me "It is the ride" not the service.

By " scooter scene " I assume you mean scream'n 50s. You'll need to be in Orlando I4 corridor, Miami/Ft. Lauderdale and maybe Tampa/St. Pete. Most of the rest of the state is "old scoots" like me....
I wish you nothing but the greatest success.

OK folks, A few months ago, I had information posted on my other forum by a fellow a lot of people trust. He was posting that all was not as it seemed with Terrilee. I have also been sent a link to a CBS station article in the town Terrilee was from regarding an event. This event and the details in it agree with the information that was posted on my other forum. I just want to say, be very careful to not be taken advantage of, it is possible not all is as we thought. Sending money would not be a smart thing unless you know all the story and have no problems with it. Terrilee was an active and stimulating member on the forum here and elsewhere, as a member I wish good things. wow, now Im left wondering what the story is On the nameless faceless Internet odds are nobody knows the real story, or her/his real name. I don't know this person but read their posts. I would head Doug's advice, too much going on there to dig for truth.

I also hate a thief but here in Florida that kind of reaction can get you shot. Be careful my friend.

The other guy that the woman hit should have stopped, and he did not (he drove off). SHE got hit. The dude hit her.

What, you looking for some sympathy or want people to feel sorry for you ? Your own words state you have a few DUI's. I guess the good people of Atlanta Ga. won't properly punish you until you kill a kid. Its time to grow up and act like an adult. If you need help ask for it. Blunt. I do think almost anyone can pick up the first DUI. Multiple arrests are a pattern and jail is in order.
