So we will be flying to Florida soon to scout for a location to open Scooter Elements in Florida. Unfortunatly where i use to live in Jacksonville does not have a big GY6 150cc scooter scene. So my question to those of you who live in Florida. Where in Florida has a huge GY6 150cc scooter scene that does not have a parts place. We are going to start out small and see how it goes and if all goes well we will expand. again only GY6 150cc scooters not interested in anything else at the moment. I know Orlando has a huge scene but there are already a few stores there such as Paradizo scooters (people have told me that those people are extremely rude)

Well when you have the market cornered you do pretty much what you want. Perhaps you can slide in and be nice and steal the biz.

DX i wouldn't know the biggest 150cc market in florida but their is room for new competition. the closest parts dealer to me is 10 miles away. too far to ride a bicycle to pick up parts.

The largest Gy6 markets in florida are Orlando and Miami. St. Pete where I am has a pretty strong Gy6 scene as well, but we already have A LOT of dealers in town as well.

Matt Yea i really dont want to go to an area that has a distributor like you guys and Miami has MRP. We dont plan on becoming a distributor in Florida just a parts store. and hopefully one day sell actual scooters I keep getting request to open in Orlando because Paradizo scooters the people there are extremely rude and not willing to work with anyone that is not Puerto Rican. Scooters here in Puerto Rico are going down in popularity due to the strict laws. My town there are about only 10 scooters left in town. No point to continue here.

By " scooter scene " I assume you mean scream'n 50s. You'll need to be in Orlando I4 corridor, Miami/Ft. Lauderdale and maybe Tampa/St. Pete. Most of the rest of the state is "old scoots" like me....
I wish you nothing but the greatest success.

Miami could use some quality scooter stores. Open up there and let's rock out some Bintelli's on south beach! It's one of our few FL territories we still have available.

Where was that gorgeous piece of land you were considering? Won't you want to be reasonably close to there? Or did that fall through?
If you're free for wherever, then I'd say Orlando and show Paradizo how real customer service is done! There's always room for a good honest shop when the big boy isn't necessarily either.

PCB area is mainly 50cc. Not to many into the 150s here.

Walter, I'm in China at the moment, but if you want to give me a call or shoot me an email sometime next week when I'm back in the states I've got a few ideas or you.

Here in the Tampa Bay area even the mainstream shops sell scooters. The largest Aprilia dealer in the US is in St Pete and they sell Aprilia, Piaggio, Vespa, Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki and Eaton. They will take a Chinese scooter that is in decent shape in trade also and they have in house dealer financing that is much more affordable then dropping a credit card down. We have a number of mobile scooter repair services and several mom and pop shops along with a few national internet vendors such as gekgo.com/. Lets not forget Matt and the great guys at Parts for Scooters either.

Keep in mind gy6 swaps are big in the ruckus world. Don't only be looking at Chinese scooter!
