Hmm, I'll consider a Bando belt, although Matt on that forum was probably trying to push his product. I'd prefer to buy on Amazon since I can lump it in with xmas present orders. But, I did ask for a notification email when those belts are back in stock on partsforscooters.com www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J6CFS2I/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hzaIs there any way to tell if these belts are made in China or Japan in the link above? Whoo... I've been away from this forum for a looonggg time. While it's my job to sell parts, with the Bando belts I'm more interested in just trying to make sure that quality product goes into the market. We are the only scooter parts distributor that has a direct relationship with Bando, and all of our Bando are made in Japan. www.partsforscooters.com/product_brands/Bando?page=1(y'know, for anyone else looking for a no question quality belt.) All I'm saying is that you will sacrifice some reliability over stock with a BBK and a stock crank setup that hasn't been improved in some way. I think that's something everyone can agree on, and I think it would be irresponsible of me to represent otherwise. Also, Falicon is good people... and our neighbors. Matt Hey Vendor Falicon is your neighbor so grab some Cranks along with 50mm and 52mm piston assy and have them balanced then Market your the Only ones with a Balanced Rotating assy that will live. This is common practice in the automotive world, custom Strokes, Rod Lengths and pistons and is sold as a Spun Rotating assy and that way average Joe doesn't have to find a shop to spin it, and the sell more product. I know that it's a common automotive practice, but they'll be waaaayyyy too expensive for us to market. We'd have to mark them up too much for it to be viable for most consumers. Based on what we know sales volume would be almost nil. It's better (well, far more affordable anyway) for the end consumer or one of my shops to have their kit modified instead. The cost would be more palatable and lower volume would make more sense for them. Since I'm a distributor and not a shop, I'm too far up the supply chain. Matt

I would love to get a better scooter but anything over 50cc here you need a driver's license, is there anyway to beef up the bearings? There is a (much) better than stock bearing kit that we sell for just this reason. You have to split the cases to get to the crank to install. www.partsforscooters.com/169-332-Hoca-QMB139-Bearing-Seal-KitMatt

terryosw81 If you're looking for longevity, your best bet is to go to a stock bore and be happy at 32mph. The 52mm kit will pound the crap out of your crank over time. The conrod itself will be fine, but the bearings are going to take a beating and need replacement sooner than they would in a stock application. The 52mm kit (or the 50mm kit as well) are high performance applications that give the engine much higher than stock power, but are not meant to give a stock level of reliability. tortoise is absolutely correct. If you are looking for reliability and speed, something 125 and up with proper endorsement is really the best option. Matt

52mm is 88cc. If they are telling you otherwise, they're lying. The largest displacement that you can go right now on a QMB139 engine is a 52.4mm BBK with a 44mm stroker crank. That setup tops at 94.9cc. Matt Thanks Matt This frustrates the heck out of me with these 50's and all the fake 100cc and bigger kits. I have to point this out all the time of these scammers not being able to do First Grade math.. .7854XBoreXBoreXStroke=cc Is that so hard for a Top Rated Five Star whatever E-bay seller to be able to do? Could we imagine what they would do if they actually had to count out change without a register telling them what to do.. Yep. Drives us nuts here as well. Matt

Well, neither one is really enough compression to run, so you're losing compression somewhere. Unfortunately, probably time to take the top end down, clean some surfaces really good, and take a hard look at your parts.

I think it's cvk and with the carb on with the throttle open,it's on a znen but It's not stock I think 20mm can't remember Okay, as a CVK carb is vacuum operated, even if you hold the throttle open unless the bike is running the slide in the carb is never going to be truly open. Pop off the carb and do the compression test again. Matt

Ok thanks ya I'm at 120 psi Sounds low. Are you using a PWK or CVK carb, and if CVK did you do the compression test with the carb on the bike or off? Matt

Yes I no about the 100cc not being true,ok that's what I thought it's just I've replaced them so many times and moved them around like the specs call for but it still does it,also I had a mother question I have the 50mm jug and yesterday I sent someone to get me a new head just in case and they gave me a 52mm and the bad thing is it's not returnable so can I use it with the 50mm jug thanks You can use it, but you'll have lower compression and therefore make less power. Just a guess, but sounds like you're rings aren't set correctly so you're blowing oil up past the rings into the combustion chamber. That's the white smoke that you're seeing.
Also, there is no such thing as a 100cc kit. A 52mm kit is actually 88cc.

My brother in law put the cam in 180 degrees off and when it backfired flames came out of the exhaust and the exhaust valve bent. We did this once before in one of our drag bikes we built way back in the day. While we didn't bend a valve, we were stunned that it would run at all. Sorry to hear. Matt
