tvnacman - We had the Havoc apart once already to install some of the accessories from our warehouse for the Indy Dealer Expo. They come apart pretty easily as far as scooters go. It ended up coming out very nice.
Now he's working on BBKs and finishing up the fitting on the Exhaust we are having made for it. It has a slightly different GY6 variation that ZNEN has been using recently, so there are some fitment questions that we are addressing, and making sure that our parts are correct for the unit.

Bintelli - Jason - Hey man, don't be blowing up my spot! You're right though... 15x15 section of our warehouse where we have one Bintelli Havoc torn down again so Tom can keep on doing what he does = R&D department. lol

flyangler - Had a Stella and a P200 both a little while back. I think if I found a good P200 I'd jump back on that in a heartbeat. What a great scooter.
prodigit - 175lbs. St. Pete. Mostly solo. Maybe a couple of miles straight at WOT tops. What do you prefer? I like them all, but I have 17,000 sq ft of warehouse stuffed with scooter parts, and the knowledge to repair, so reliability isn't really a concern. Think of it as an opportunity to spend someone else's money. Just a fun question, I'm not holding anyone to anything they put here. Just what would you look for.
tvnacman - The thought has certainly crossed my mind. We have a Bintelli Havoc in our R&D dept, and it is a really nice scooter. And it's orange. I love orange.

Hey guys, so here is the deal. for the first time in years (and years) I find myself without a scooter or a motorcycle. Obviously this is a problem. Anyway I was looking for your opinions on what you think I should be riding, since y'know, you guys are our customers and all. Some backstory and ground rules: First off, I'll need to be able to hit mid 50s, so that pretty much eliminates any 50cc 4ts, and unmodified 50cc 2ts. I'm certainly not against modification however, so you can take that into consideration. I don't really want anything larger than a 250, if even that large. We're pushing up into motorcycle territory there. I really like metal bodies, 2t and shifters, but I'm not married to the idea of any of that, so it's an open competition. Anyway, give me your thoughts, since I'm sure you guys have some ideas that I have yet to think of. Thanks! Matt

81.82% Woot!
I missed 6, and at least one of those I should have known. Ahh well.
That was a fun break from my day. Back at it.

I use ride-on in my tires. It works really well for balance, plus it'll prevent a blow out if you puncture a tire. If you have a tough time finding this stuff should you want to try it, we are the Scooter Industry Distributor of Ride-On. We all run it at the office here now since it just works. www.partsforscooters.com/Ride-OnOkay, shameless plug over. I've also used DynaBeads and they work really well too. I think I'd shy away from BBs as I would be afraid that they might beat up the inside of your rim over time. Don't get me wrong, I don't know that they would, but I suspect they might... Those bad boys are HARD. Matt

Walter - There are many different tactics that established companies can use to deal with a competing upstart. Price cutting is just one of them, and really one of the less creative (and less underhanded too) methods as well if you think about it.
Really, you can't fault the guy for watching you, since (in my opinion anyway) you are doing a pretty good job for only being active in his market for the last year. He's just performing his due diligence, and it is a smart move on his part.
Just keep your head up, offer quality products and solid customer service and do the best you can every day. Don't let competition get to you, since that is what he wants. If you can't beat him at his game, play your own instead, and play it better and smarter than he can. Use your marketing, product and customer service to force him to chase you, instead of you following him on pricing.
This way, if he wants to play the pricing game, the person he is hurting most is himself and his bottom line.
Anyway, just some thoughts one businessman to another.

Take it as a compliment, he probably sees you as a threat to his market.

Hey guys, here's to hoping for a fresh start as the old SD winds down.
As far as Greg @ Mainly, he's hard at it right now to the best of my knowledge and free time is short. I'm sure if he frees up he'll pop back on the scene, he's a good guy.
