I buy a fair amount from partforscooters, but their dealer margins have been shrinking the last few years and they don't have everything you need. They do consistently ship quickly and keep steady inventories. Don't particularly care for their new website, but maybe it will grow on me. We very much appreciate the purchases that you make, thanks to our customers we continue to exist. If there is product that we don't carry that you'd like to see us provide, just let us know and we'll do our best to source it. (This goes for everyone else too!) I can't promise we'll be able to source it, but we'll certainly try. We are always working to bring more product to the scooter market. I hope the new site grows on you as well. Matt

EPA has blocked 2Ts from coming into the USA. Unfortunately this is the case for 2Ts. The Aprilia SR 50 is currently the only 2T scooter that I'm aware of that has an EPA Cert and that Customs will pass. We can't even import engines anymore. I do know that there are still a handful of ETON Beamer 50's still floating around out there though, and they are a pretty quality scoot as well. Matt

hypocycle - I love the turbo/supercharger projects. You might want to take a look at this site weffo.com/ as they were working on a similar project, but costing and manufacturing became a large issue for them and as you'll see they haven't updated in a while. If you want I can get you in touch with the guy who owns Weffo and you can compair notes or whatever it takes to get one of these projects off the ground. Ultimately, I want one for distribution to our dealer network, as I think there is a lot of potential here. Matt

The easy answer is: The higher the degree pillow spring, the harder the clutch will hit, and the more torque it can hold without slipping. Hence the name HiT Clutch. It's harder to explain how they work without a visual representation, but here is what happens: in a normal clutch, the clutch shoe is on a swinging arm, and at a specified RPM, the arm swings out and engages the clutch bell. On a Dr. Pulley HiT Clutch, the arm swings (normal clutch spring) and then slides the back half of the shoe (pillow spring) against the clutch bell for further positive engagement. This creates the "hit". When these guys engage, they ENGAGE. The Dr. Pulley clutches are very likely the strongest clutches on the market because of their sliding arm design. Hope this helps. Actually, tons of clicks to a link will no longer create more relevance to the link or site as far as Google is concerned. It's called "Panda" and was an update to Google's search algorithms to eliminate "Google Bombing" which is what we are promoting in this thread. Google's search spiders will take 4-6 weeks to index this site, and then as they say "content is king". The more we post, and the more time we spend on the site, the more relevance the site will have in the eyes of Google's algorithms. This is how we'll rise in the search rankings with Google. Google is far more concerned with what it considers organic growth, than it is with a forced approach.
What will help move the site along in search, is getting links to the site from other sites. This will speed along the process quite a bit more than all of us searching for the same thing directly in Google. So if you have a FB page, a Twitter account or most importantly, a Google + page or a YouTube page (these two are owned by Google and carry a lot of weight in search) or a webpage, and you want to help the forum out, link to the forum from there. This will make a big difference.

I dual boot my Macbook Pro as well, and I loaded up Win8 just to get a feel for it. I figured I should learn it since all of the new computers that I purchase for the business will be outfitted with Win8, and I double up as our IT guy.
Actually, I don't hate it. It takes some getting accustomed to though coming from 7, granted, but I don't think it is as terrible as people are making it out to be. It's just different, and I'll give them credit for trying to advance along a PC OS. It may not be a complete success, but at least they gave it a shot, which is more than can be said for others.
Just my opinion.
I have given some serious thought to converting the entire office over to Mac, but shooo... we have a lot of computers.

For over 7 years I was riding a 652cc Suzuki Savage, neglected oil, killed it, and I was stuck in one of the wife's cages. BLEAH! Options: ** A replacement Suzuki S40, the worlds best city bike and capable of Interstate touring. ** A Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic, not as good on the city, better on the Interstates. ... but Wendy wants to go with me, but in her cage. I need less to carry, want better mileage. ** A Suzuki TU250, a retro 250. Not available in California. But I could cheat, take the Savage to Arizona, destroy the Savage, buy the TU250 as a replacement, legal to register in California. ** A SYM Wolf 150, a lighter motorcycle, again a retro, a proper motorcycle. ... but I am starting to not throwing a leg over the saddle. Scooters sound interesting. ** A Maxi-Scooter, maybe a Burgman 650, possibly a 400. Heavy. Ugly (my opinion, which is the only one that counts.) ** A Big Vespa, a 300, but heavy ** A LX150, freeway legal, even if most people think I am crazy to ride doing 60-64 mph on the Interstate. ** A Stella, 150, a shifty scooter, carries a spare tire! Think think think.... I like the least weight -- , it is way I bought the 380 pound Savage instead of a bigger motorcycle. Decided I want the 150cc scooter, good for the city. Toss up -- the Vespa legal freeway, or the non-freeway Stella. Rented a Vespa, found that I wil accept the LX150 on the freeway, got it. I prefer the roads less taken, but if I am in a hurry the Vespa can run the Interstates, legally. If it wasn't for the legallity, I would probablly been riding a Stella. Your Mileage May Vary. Ride Your Own Ride. Suzuki has a new GW250 that is pretty neat looking: www.suzukicycles.com/Product%20Lines/Cycles/Products/GW250/2013/GW250.aspxI had the TU250 as my motorcycle class bike, it ran great but seems to lock the rear pretty easy. Some bikes do seem to lock up the rear easier than others, my 06 FZ1N that I just sold would lock the rear pretty easily. The reality is that many bikes lack feel though the rear, so it isn't easy to tell when you are approaching lockup back there. Normally if you are locking up the back easily, you aren't using enough front. The front is where all of your stopping power is. I'm not saying that you personally aren't grabbing enough front, this is just what I've learned over the years. :-) Matt

but i think next scoot will be the BLUR USA made and all
I think the Blur is made by PGO of Taiwan, just imported by Genuine of Chicago. Super neat bike though, but a little high in the seat for me. My dealer had a demo just like the white one in the picture with 220 miles on it from customer test drives and had it listed for $2,200 last year. The salesman told me they would let it go for $2k flat, but I bought a different ride. The blur is made by PGO, this is correct. Matt

jwalz1 - Thanks! I don't NEED a shifter, I just happen to like them. A shifter isn't a make or break though.
