I just added a google search, you can find it at the bottom center of the page. The google search is supposed to search this forum and would be the better search to use if it is working properly.

if anything it's almost impossible to find this site via google search. I had to literally type "itistheride.boards.net -proboards -scootdawg", for google to find this page. Perhaps all members could do google and this site a favor, by going to this site, by typing in google it's full adress, so google will rank it higher (Google usually ranks sites higher when they get a lot of searches; and at this time, it is pretty much impossible to find itistheride.boards.net by searching google using parameters 'google', 'forum, or things like boards, itistheride, 49cc, or other....

It does help and it is a great idea. Every time any kind of search engine is used for information then the search engine whether it be google or any other the search engine looks for matching words in the search and the more posts that are done here the more the search engine finds related articles, companies and forums.
If you go and google something as simple as how to clean a carb it will find and match all possible words. Go google how to clean a scooter carb it narrows the search to specific listings.
More you google the more you get exposure to your site, plain and simple.

There is a company that you can pay a nominal fee to that will get your site to come up at the top of searches. My buddy used them for his business here in L.A. If you are interested I will give him a call and get you the info.

I just punch in "it's the ride.net" and it pops up on the second Google page. It shows it on the second page, because under your google account it would show up there. I logged myself out, and when I type "itistheride.board" it finds it now, even when logged out, on the first page. Just keep on spamming google search engine with terms like "itistheride", "itistheride scoot", "itistheride 49cc", "itistheride forum"", etc.... Google search engine is clever, it'll draw the link in a few days. Important is, for google to register this site, after every search, if there's a link to this site, to click on it. Without clicking on this forum's link, the search engine will never get confirmation on what site it is that it should link with the search parameters. If you use "itistheride forum scooter" as search parameters, and click the old 'SD proboard' forum link, google will misinterpret it, and show you more SD.PB links instead of the right ones...

I'm sure top spot is not necessary. But with the growing forum, it won't take long for this site to be on the first page, and a lot more time for it to appear first page, when typing "scooter forum" or something. At least, this time around, google is finding this site.
I wish someone had a bot, searching 100x per second all scooter variations on google (eg: one that searches sentences from this forum in google).

A bot huh, google might accuse it of being a spam bot. Something to think about though

Why not use SEO tools to make it happen? Does the host not offer them?
