Here's a question for you retailers/wholesales. I'm looking to get a small retail open locally for parts, maybe full bikes, and am looking for parts distributor. Any suggestions? Would like to be able to offer parts at reasonable price to keep people local shopping.

[replyingto=scooterelements]Scooter%20Elements[/replyingto]Most of us have Dealer pricing on things. Some better than others and the best is shopping among several as some have better item specific deals than others.
I buy a fair amount from partforscooters, but their dealer margins have been shrinking the last few years and they don't have everything you need. They do consistently ship quickly and keep steady inventories. Don't particularly care for their new website, but maybe it will grow on me.
MRP has gone down hill in the last few years, but sometimes they are the only place to find less common parts. Their inventory on common parts is not very steady and yes usually overpriced.
John at Valley Scooters has some great deals for dealers, but lacks a real online ordering system. His prices are great and he always answers the phone. He usually has everything in stock that would fit on any of the scooters he sells. He will be seeing more of my business this year.
Unless you have the coin to sit on wrong orders, stay away from sites that ship from china direct. The return shipping is never worth it, and original shipping is higher or their item price is inflated. They will usually fix mistakes on your next order, but requires buying more product to get the crap you originally ordered. They will rarely reship you the right stuff by itself.
Just my 2 cents ;D

We very much appreciate the purchases that you make, thanks to our customers we continue to exist. If there is product that we don't carry that you'd like to see us provide, just let us know and we'll do our best to source it. (This goes for everyone else too!) I can't promise we'll be able to source it, but we'll certainly try. We are always working to bring more product to the scooter market. I hope the new site grows on you as well. Matt
