Both of mine are the 4 pin connector and plugged in with no problems. After checking some voltages a little bit ago, I did notice 2 cut wires coming from under the floor board to the engine compartment. One is a black/white and the other a green ground wire. I thought the black/white was the kill switch, but that is working normally.

Hey all, just got my bike back after having the stator replaced. I rode for a little bit, then blew the headlight. I changed the regulator and bulb - had a new regulator so figured I'd throw it in while it was open. The bulb blew instantly. I checked the ohm readings on both regulators as seen in another post, and got nowhere near the what the chart shows on either one. My question - are there 2 different regulators? I saw them listed on Scrappy with a regular and a floating ground. have not seen this anywhere else. The one in it had fins on both sides and the top, the new one fins just on top. Just want to make sure there is a difference before ordering a new one. Thanks in advance.

I'll have to double check the actual model. It's the 150 VIP, but can't remember the exact number. I'll post a pic if I can't get the model number.

I know this is a stupid question, but how does the seat bucket come out? I have the side mounted air box, and the bucket has 2 screws near the fuel fill and one below the seat mount. I've pulled those, but the bucket is not coming loose. Am I missing one somewhere? Just need to do valve adjustment. All my previous bikes just needed 3 screws pulled to remove the access panel on the front. Thanks for any help. Sean

Anything wrong with the motor? Maybe just needs top end? I've been looking for one for a rear disc brake

I checked them first. I'm trying to find the long case 150 with rear disc, and it's turned out to be harder then you'd think!

Thanks guys. Not sure what I'm going to do. I may be getting a great deal on a 50, which would help me get 4 wheels going sooner. I do really like my 150 though, and don't want to give it up! If I do keep it, I'll post the mods I do either way. Sean

now you got me thinking to just buy the drum motor and change it if over! Seems a lot cheaper too! Thanks, I'm going to do some research, and probably do it this week

John, did you have to change the axle? I have the stock rim with disc. I thought the axle was a different size on the drum

The brakes on the swing arm. I'm looking at a new motor, and can't find the one for disc brake anywhere, so figured I'd switch over. I have the rim, brake handle, and new cable, so I don't think it should be bad to do.

So I've pretty much exhausted my search for a 150 engine with disc brake. How difficult to swap the brake out if I buy a motor with drum brakes? I'm thinking pretty simple, just run the cable, install new brake handle, and splice the brake switch wire? Am I missing anything?

Hi, anyone bought anything here? I found what I think is the engine I need, but very little detail on it. Sent an email and left voicemail, but have not gotten response. Thanks guys. Sean

Thanks for the info Alley. The one they show won't fit, as the brake is mounted on the motor, mine has the 13" wheel with the brake mounted to the exhaust side. Think I'm in for a new bike!

Anyone know where the rear disc motor can be found? I've checked everywhere I could find, and no one has it. If not available, how hard to change to drum brake system?
