Yes the conversion did work, but it was alot of work and alot of new parts. To do it again would be easier, but now that MRP is gone, finding all the right parts would take more hunting.

That is too bad, while Joel would always try to get you to buy way more than you wanted or needed, he did have some of the parts that were hard to find. Always seamed to be out of stock on common parts
As for his website, it was a joke(along with the clones), it took forever to find anything and the search engine on it sucked. Wonder who is going to end up with all that inventory.

Should have known to look at the cf-moto diagrams, would have bought me a clue. Real one with a gap where normally the single trigger magnet is placed.

Well finally got around to tearing into this, we moved in January, so that was more a priority.
Anyway, it is an 18 coil stator almost looks like the linhai 260, dimensions match. Anyway Ding Ding Ding, UrbanMadness was right. There is pickup coil trigger magnets all the way around the thing, like 20 of them, and it is stamped Ducati too. Stator is going, pickup coil is going, rotor is going and this thing is getting out of here, MRP had the parts in stock.
Leave it to CF-moto to stick Ducati Parts in a chinese scooter, AAARRRGGH.

We almost moved in with a used car dealer that has an awesome location, but it kind of fell through, at least for now.
Where are you at alleyoop?

That is how I have had it wired on most tries. I think the trigger is just bad or it is an ecu version(more likely) that is much more sensitive and it is picking up voltage from the inner magnets instead of just the bumpout timed magnet. We are coming to the same conclusions, thanks JR and everyone else for your help and Merry Christmas I'm just hoping it matches to another trigger instead of having to order the qlink version which doesn't have an ecu. Guess I'll be tearing it apart.

This is totally wired from scratch ECU is gone & new ignition circuit is totally independent of the main loom. CDI is wired properly, coil matches. Have tried multiple dc cdi's & coils . The pulse trigger is a 2 wire type.
From that diagram it looks as if there is a diode involved. I tried a schottky, thinking that may be it, but didn't work. I don't know if I will have time to mess with it tomorrow.

Thanks Skutta, I'm not going to pop an ECU in unless I know it is an exact match and I change the Reg too. And throwing $ at it is not what this customer wants to do. Kind of figured it was Ducati as that is what Fuel injection they went with.
12 or 18 doesn't make a difference, it is running off the DC side, I haven't popped the cover off either, that is what I am trying to avoid. The connector that scrappy has pictured is not what is coming out of the motor.
But maybe I will try it off the AC side with an AC CDI, got plenty of those in stock.
Am getting 5-6 AC volts off the pickup coil, tried putting a load on it in series before the CDI did nothing.

Yep, All the CDI's I tried work on other scoots.
I'm wondering if the pickup coil is different for the ecu version, much more sensitive and when used in normal setting it is throwing voltage from the inner magnets rotation instead of just the little bumpout magnet.
2 wire pickup coil.
Really didn't want to rip it apart gotta drain oil, coolant, boy am I feeling lazy this winter.
