Where was that gorgeous piece of land you were considering? Won't you want to be reasonably close to there? Or did that fall through? If you're free for wherever, then I'd say Orlando and show Paradizo how real customer service is done! There's always room for a good honest shop when the big boy isn't necessarily either. >'Kat That was close to Jacksonville where i grew up and my parents live. But in that area there are very little GY6 150cc type of scooters. I have already checked. Lots of 50cc and Kymcos. Later on i might get into the 50cc world but for now we are just 150cc parts. |

No question there are a ton of Kymcos up here. It's college kids on 50s or 300cc plus maxis. |

Yo man I live just outside Miami hollywood and ft lauderdale areas are packed with allkinds of scooters. There are many businesses and most have crappy reputations. There would be more of a market for selling quality used scooters than parts for 150cc becuz they dont modify them much, just use them fro trasportation....you may have to shift gears on that to succeeed.

Miami could use some quality scooter stores. Open up there and let's rock out some Bintelli's on south beach! It's one of our few FL territories we still have available. Miami is one of the places we were considering. Since MRP the distributor there does not sell to the public from what i was told. Even if they did, don't worry about competition. Offer a quality product with amazing support and you'll dominate anywhere you go. |

Well D, that would be cool, I cant think of any reason anyone wouldnt want to live in SF. maybe not Miami, but just outside Miami gives you the benefits without all the crime and cost.
The rental places look like they have it on lock already with beachfront rentals/brankd new kmycos it looks like. There are multiple scooter sales and service shops.......most will scam you pretty bad....
( according to their internet comments).. IMO a shop that sells and rents and services would only survive if the overhead was so small it made it possible to undercut and outperform the competiton
just like any other business,its pretty cutthroat

I live in Gainesville. Lots of college kids with scooters here. It's centrally located to Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, and Daytona. We don't really have any parts stores that I know of; just a handful of dealers.

Gainesville is the most saturated market in Florida. Pretty much as many scooter dealers as there are McDonalds... it's nuts how many people are here trying to do the same thing! The west coast of Florida is seriously lacking of QUALITY dealerships that move a lot of units, along with Miami and to the south. Those are your best bets.
