Do yourself a favor.... go test ride a 250. The power plant is soooo smooth and man, huge difference.... A little heavier bike so the ride is sooooo much nicer... try it.... You might skip the 150. Of course the 150's are way more fun, cheaper to mod and by and large easier to work on.... but, good gosh, the 250's are so smooth compared to the 150's.

speaking of underseat storage. i really wish dealers would list the measurements of storage space. would make it so much easier when deciding which model to purchase. do any online dealers list storage measurements? i haven't seen any. surprised to hear the 54B has little seat storage. i've considered buying that scoot but i don't want a scooter that doesn't have room for my helmet. The other thing to be carefull of, manufactures change scooter configuration from year to year. An example of this, I have a vintage style 150, and so do two of my buddies... None of the bikes are the same. One has the tank under the seat, while the other two have it in the floor. The other has the battery under the seat pan on the frame, my battery and my other buddies batteies were under the seat (mine was relocated to the frame an it had a cage already welded in so I'd have more storage space). On the Shanke (touring 150de and touring 250de) both same year, same body, one's a 150 and the other is a 250. The gas tank on the 250 is under the seat while the gas tank on the 150 is in the hump. This makes sense as the radiator is in the hump on the 250. Smaller displacement scooters also seem to have more storage. My 150 has quite a bit of storage under the seat. The 50cc scooter in the garge was big enough to put my pumpkin sized full face helmet in but I can't on the 150. The 250cc has almost no storage space. I have enough for the stereo amp and a few tools. My Buddies 500cc Apprilla has no storage under the seat. Just enough storage for DMV paper work. Granted, that bike has nice Apprilla hard bags and a huge trunk but under the seat? Nadda. The Piaggio 500cc Beverly has a good compormise. Almost as much storage as my 150. The Piaggio X-9 (drool) 500cc has quite a bit of storage under the seat and includes a warning sticker saying not to transport pets in the under seat storage area (seriously) but You would be hard pressed to get a helmet in there. The Roma Hornet actually has about as much storage under the "tank" (actually it's over the tank) as my 150 and it's tall enough for a full sized, full face helmet believe it or not...

I have a spare carb body if you're interested... Just PM me... I'll give it to you for the price of the shipping.... You can build one carb from two that way and save some money.... get rid of the emissions.... just run a vac line back to the vacuume pet cock or pump depending on what you have and a line up to the carb for the diapharam and you should be good to go....
Is your fuel tank under the hump? Mines under the seat.

If you are referring the the scooter I think you are, they came as 250 and 150's. Be warned... The frames are very different, even thou they look the same. The plastics are interchangeable but not much else. 250cc bikes are water cooled and are generally more complex.

If I did barricade, I'd do it to the white one. Motor cops in my neck of the woods ride white bikes. The black bike doesn't belong to me anyway.

Put the filter on.... If you let little things like that go, then you will have a bunch of little things you will have to fix later... and before you know it, your driving a piece of un-reliable junk.

Well, I did the most expensive mod to day... got the bike legal with DMV.... 205 bucks, but it's good thru october... yay! I paid registration on three vehicles today, the scooter, my 1991 jimmy (161 bucks) my wifes 1997 Infinity (101 bucks)... it now hurts to sit down... LOL Ok, so I really like the white. I was going to do some air brush stuff on it, but I just think, at this point, it would detract from the lines. So, I now have an alternate plan. I'm a big fan of the transformers movies, so I'm thinking I'm going to do it up like Barricade (the police car for those who don't know).... I'll call it Barricade Jr. It will be a good marketing tool for my youtube channel and my little scooter shop (of horrors).....

I think I'd start by cleaning up all the oil. Makes it a ton easier to see where the leak is comming from... Replace the hoses, just becuase. Then you will be able to find where the oil is comming from much eaiser.

A burgman is in a whole different class... If I get another scoot, it will be an X-9... That Freakin Piaggio's sweet man.... An no, you can't get a full face helmet under it's seat either (but it's 500cc of fuel injected thumper perfection)

Yeah.... it's way better in white. I was gonna do some air brush work... but the more I look at it, the more I like it.... Maybe some pin stripes and call it good.... I can't wait to ride it... I'm getting excited... Need to go to DMV and pay the reg and get it transfered. I just wish the freakin tail light, valve stems and LED's would show up so I can get 'er done!
Yes the Roar is done....
I could always do it up like Baricade from the Transformers.... it kinda looks like a police bike... "to punish and enslave..."

My buddie and I just aquired a Yamaha Riva 125. It's complete except for a side cover and a carb. Anyone know what would fit? Can a carb from a gy6 be adapted?
Thanks as always.
