led running lights in the rear too... those lights are power suckers and it's an easy change.... I think they are 5207's. I just took one of the bulbs to the auto parts place and matched them up. I'm going to do LED's in the instrument cluster next just waiting on them to arrive.

I know the Znen Roar has no room under the seat for a helmet, although you might be able to get one in the built in trunk. The Tank Touring 250de also doesnt' have the room either... (yes it was also marketed as a Jonway)

That really depends on the model. If the 250 uses the Honda clone, it's probably not going to have much room under the seat. I have a 250de, and there is not much room at all. The honda clone has the cylinder sit upright on the engine instead of laying down so the engine is a lot taller (but it bucks less).... Many of the bodies are set up to put on multible frames, so even if your engine is a Yammy clone, you still might not have alot of room under the seat. Again, it depends on the model.

Yup, took a week, but all the panels are now painted. It's not perfect, I have two panels that had deep scratches, and I should of sanded those two a bit more, but the scratches are not in visable area's so I'm not worried about it. For the paint, I used Rustoleuem acrylic lacquer, gloss white. It covers well and looks really good. Here is the bike all mocked up.. I'm still waiting on a few parts so I can start putting it back together in earnest. The main reason the bike is mocked up right now, if I need to mask a few area's off for some airbrush work. I don't think the air brush stuff will take more then an evening once it's masked off.

Ok, don't worry about the carb for the moment. If the valve lash is correct, and you still have 60psi compression, (it should be over 100 psi) then it's time to do a top end rebuild. You either have a bad valve, or the rings are toast. In any event, it can be rebuilt for under a 100 bucks including the head, if you stay stock and do it yourself. These are great engines to do your first rebuild on, because they are simple and if you follow directions, very hard to mess up... Watch a few youtube vids on how to do it. Its an afternoon project, even if you have to pull the motor out of the bike to do it. Two afternoons if it you have never rebuilt one before.
Also, most 150cc carbs don't have the accelerator pump. Some do, most don't. Don't worry about it. The jetting in an aftermarket carb is usually in the ball park, but you can always put your stock one back on.

That method is used for guitars a lot.... The other method isn't that expensive if you know where to look for the film and supplies.

Ally, do those seals have any numbers on them? I bet we could source them from a bearing house and get away from the chinese seals... Motion industries or bearing engineering, or even Grainger.

One of the modifications I've done to the bike... I've added a volt meter... The meter is not in the best place to see it while riding, but it does look nice and fills the hole where the old stereo head unit was and I can make sure it's charging from time to time. All I had to do was fill four screw holes before paint, and all is good. I also started painting panels tonight. Got three of them done. I used Rustoluem Acrylic lacquer. This stuff is awesome, it fills scratches, lays down really nice and covers really well.

What has happened, is the wieghts in the variator are jammed. (that's the front pulley) and missaligned. You will need to take the variator off, flip it over and put the rollers back in place... put it back together and when you reasemple it, make sure the variator is closed all the way (you will see what I mean when you tear it apart, put it back together)... The clutch was damaged from the belt, the variator wieghts like to jam when you shread a belt as well. I'll see if I can dig up a video or two when I get home. What size bike is it? Also, are you sure you have the correct sized belt on the bike?
