Yup, took a week, but all the panels are now painted. It's not perfect, I have two panels that had deep scratches, and I should of sanded those two a bit more, but the scratches are not in visable area's so I'm not worried about it. For the paint, I used Rustoleuem acrylic lacquer, gloss white. It covers well and looks really good. Here is the bike all mocked up.. I'm still waiting on a few parts so I can start putting it back together in earnest. The main reason the bike is mocked up right now, if I need to mask a few area's off for some airbrush work. I don't think the air brush stuff will take more then an evening once it's masked off.

Urbanmadness,
Let me be the first to say "WOO HOO!"... Lookin' GOOD! I don't know just WHY white looks SO good on a scooter. I'm not too fond of it on most cycles, but somehow it just looks great on a scoot! I was happy my old Kymco was white. And if like yourself, if you want to do some graphics, the white "blank canvas" is the perfect starting point.
I may do a little diddling on my own next spring. Probably a small amount of black and white checkerboard here and there. I sort of like the old-school Army Air Corps themes with checkerboards and stripes. I need to upgrade the tires anyway to "P" rated, from the "J" rated ones on it, and I definitely want wide-whitewalls. I like how they look on Vespas, and I can get a Shinko whitewall in the 120-70-12 front tire size, but NOBODY makes a whitewall in the 140-70-12 rear tire size, so I'll go with a compatible tire, and paint the whitewall with "Gledi" tire paint. Pro shops seem to dote on that stuff for rat rods and classics. The ruckus and "nekkid-scoot" boys seem to like it too, for whitewalls on those monster-wide tires they use.
PLEASE do keep us posted with pix! THAT is a BEAUTIFUL ride, and will surely encourage others to take the plunge and paint their own scoots and cycles. I've found Rustoleum lacquer to be very good myself. I've always sworn by "Dupli-Color" but it's coming in smaller and smaller cans, and getting more and more expensive. Also, the Rustoleum gloss CLEAR lacquer is fantastic for a finish coat. It dries more glossy than any other lacquer I've used, and requires little if any wet-sanding, or rubbing out. It handles and dries fast as lacquer should, BUT dries nearly as glossy as enamel. PRETTY IMPRESSIVE!
Keep up the good work!
Leo (half frozen in this decidedly NON-TEXAS 18-degree night!) in Texas... Thankfully, I have an anti-freeze checker, and the scoot is good to -5 degrees. It had BETTER not get colder here than 5-below!

Yeah.... it's way better in white. I was gonna do some air brush work... but the more I look at it, the more I like it.... Maybe some pin stripes and call it good.... I can't wait to ride it... I'm getting excited... Need to go to DMV and pay the reg and get it transfered. I just wish the freakin tail light, valve stems and LED's would show up so I can get 'er done!
Yes the Roar is done....
I could always do it up like Baricade from the Transformers.... it kinda looks like a police bike... "to punish and enslave..."

I think your scoot looks good. It is a MC-13-250 made by Roketa.. Mine was damaged it a windstorm. Done $500 in damage. So I could not get parts in blue so I painted it. Mine is a MC-13-250 also..

Funny you should mention that... On my all-white scoot, if I'm wearing a black jacket and helmet, I always get a chuckle out of how cars in front of me instantly drop to the posted speed limit if I pull up behind them smartly... LOL!
Have fun!
