thats what I was afraid of. It sucks because the internals of the carb are in really good shape and that part screws onto the side but you can't find parts anywhere for these damn chinese scooters. Hopefully I can find someone parting one out. These carbs are a little pricey.

Yea your ACV valve is broken and that is why you are having idle issues and also it may be backfiring on you when you let go of the throttle. I will google some and see if I can find a ACV valve for a 30mm carb. Alleyoop

Cool I have been googling as well to no avail but I am not knowledgeable as far as what to look for. I'm a good car mechanic but that doesn't translate well to scooters.

I was going to point to this one which is like your current one. Notice where he Fuel Ratio Screw is at. On yours it is underneath the Intake. Also look at the Throttle cable mounting which is important. But if you think you can make that one work the only difference I see is that it has the FUEL RATIO SCREW on the side WHICH IS GREAT and easy to get at to adjust. But look at the throttle mount, if it is different than what is on yours look to see if it can be swapped so look at where it mounts on the carb the two screws that hold the bracket. Alleyoop On the one you put up I would give it a try the worst is you can take the ACV valve off the new one and replace the broken one on your old one www.motopartsmax.com/index.php/main_page/product_info/products_id/957/tID/3/cPath/280

Awesome that has the same throttle cable mount as mine! Thanks for the help! I bought this scooter from a guy that said it ran great but the battery was dead (yeah right I'm not stupid). It was very obvious just at a glance that he had tried to work on it and ruined the variator and clutch so I offered him $100 when he wanted $300 and he took it. My new clutch and new variator should be here any day along with a nice belt so now I will order this carb and after painting should have a pretty decent scoot for pretty cheap. The guy I got it from was either an idiot or a liar...I think maybe both.

Here are pictures of what the scooter originally looked like and what I have done so far. I paid $100 for it and it ran but the variator and clutch were both ruined by someone trying to put a new belt on that knew nothing and it had sat for months. Upon further investigation (and a little help from Alleyoop) I found the carb was broken along with all the vacuum lines being in complete disarray. I was going to part it out but I have changed my mind. My plans are to strip it down and paint it white. Also I will use plastic paint to paint all the plastics black instead of grey. I am also going to smoke the tailights and blinkers just very slightly to give it a darker look. I am also going plastidip the wheels a contrasting color but I haven't decided what yet. Then I will build a custom plexiglass windshield since the one that comes on it is junk and I will make it tall enough to actually block the wind as I am 6'2" and the stock windshield does nothing. I am replacing all lights with LEDs and putting some LED's under it for some ground effect lighting. Hopefully I will have all this done buy the time riding season comes around! Then I can start working on my 50cc Peace Sports and restoring my 150cc Piaggio. I have a spare carb body if you're interested... Just PM me... I'll give it to you for the price of the shipping.... You can build one carb from two that way and save some money.... get rid of the emissions.... just run a vac line back to the vacuume pet cock or pump depending on what you have and a line up to the carb for the diapharam and you should be good to go....
Is your fuel tank under the hump? Mines under the seat.

I actually just ordered a new carb last night. Might as well just so I don't have to worry about it. Mine is under the hump with what appears to be an electric fuel pump. Tonight I'm cleaning up the frame and the wiring along with removing the security system and the radio (that I didn't know about it had 2 speakers hanging behind the panel in the front. Also going to remove the wheels for plasti-dipping and I got my new rotors, new variator, new clutch, and new gates belt in the mail today. Also purchased all the stuff to paint it using your concept (much appreciated). Also going to smoke the tail lenses and blinkers tonight!
Another idea I had from being behind a car tht had done this. I bought some adhesive led strips in red and I'm going to wire them in with the tail light and brake like and put them around the rear light for added visibility!

Also is that large hose emissions related? It looks like a crankcase vent there doesn't appear to be any vacuum on it. Should I cap it off or leave it open and zip tie it to the frame rail?

Follow the hose to were it attachs to that will tell what it is. Take a picture from the top so we can see the hoses and canisters and any emssion stuff on it. It could have and EGR system( a valve will be welded onto the exhaust pipe) a EVAP system( gas tank vent and fumes catcher) etc.. Alleyoop This may help the hose is your Valve Vent and it either has a Foam box on the side it attachs to or just hangs to vent.
