I actually just ordered a new carb last night. Might as well just so I don't have to worry about it. Mine is under the hump with what appears to be an electric fuel pump. Tonight I'm cleaning up the frame and the wiring along with removing the security system and the radio (that I didn't know about it had 2 speakers hanging behind the panel in the front. Also going to remove the wheels for plasti-dipping and I got my new rotors, new variator, new clutch, and new gates belt in the mail today. Also purchased all the stuff to paint it using your concept (much appreciated). Also going to smoke the tail lenses and blinkers tonight! Another idea I had from being behind a car tht had done this. I bought some adhesive led strips in red and I'm going to wire them in with the tail light and brake like and put them around the rear light for added visibility! I'm actually very happy you bought one... I went digging thru my junk and the parts you need were missing from the carb I had. I'm actually gonna buy a new carb for mine... The acv valve is got a serious vacuum leak and I had to plug it off to get it to run 1/2 way right. If you are gonna chuck the speakers, I'd be interested... are they those cheesy 2" speakers? I actually replaced the stereo on mine and one of the speakers fell apart. The trim ring broke so nothing will hold it... it's just rattling around in the nose now... I wish there was just a little more room for a set of 4" speakers. I actually don't use the stereo while riding, but I do like having it for when I'm stopped somewhere. Doesn't seem to draw the battery down much either.

Ya, a new carb should be about $194- if memory serves my right. Roketa Bali 250 and Tank Touring 250 are the exact same scooters. Carb from Roketa is $194.. Carb one can buy cheaper through online scooter parts stores.
Also might check Honda for parts off the carb.. The Honda Helix 250 has some parts that are inter changeable with my Roketa Bali 250 and Tank Touring 250. It is because they both use the 244cc engine.

Scrappy has the carb for 75 bucks. Look under cf250 172mm helix parts. It's the same engine. Also, while you are doing the carb, it's a good time to replace the intake manifold....
Before you put those plastics back on, change the plug, check all the coolant hoses and adjust the valves. Valve adjustments on this engine are really easy, especially with the plastics off.

Notice a brand new 250cc scooter carburetor for Tank, Roketa, Richardo, Lance for $66.99 free shipping.. on Amazon.com under automotive/ motorcycle- type in 250cc scooter carburetor... This is the best deal I have seen thus far. Also I paid $80 for a freakin starter through Roketa and on Amazon they have it for $29.99 with $3.09 shipping. Again the best deal I seen for a Starter.. Have to shop Amazon for scooter parts for now on..

I've had hit or miss luck from amazon. I buy a lot from scrappy's because they ship so fast... Case and example, I ordered some brake switches for my 250... Here in three days... I ordered my tail light assembly from another source on the 1st... it's still not here... It shipped a weeks ago... One of the last big pieces for my 250. I would of ordered that part from scrappy if they had it in stock. Absolutely scooters is pretty quick too just a bit more pricey.
I know the carb at scrappy's is a good unit, altho the jetting is probably not going to be correct for your bike.. I've used that unit before with good results.

I ordered a Carb for $50 from ebay. It wasn't the exact same as my stock carb but was the right size and had the correct throttle cable mount and it had the adjustment screw on the side instead of the bottom. It was $50 shipped and it runs great. Installed the new carb, intake manifold, new vacuum lines, new spark plug, and flushed the coolant while I have it apart and she seems to run great. I also changed up the variator weights and contra spring to get a little more top end out of the scoot. I have finished painting about half of it then I will start dying the plastics black. urbanmadness they are the cheap plastic 2 inch speakers and you are welcome to them for the cost of shipping them however I have no clue if they work as someone had removed my radio and I had no idea I had one to begin with until I found the speakers. One question...there is a rubber hose larger than a vacuum hose running from the air box around to somewhere near the exhaust. What is this? Is it necessary? It doesn't appear to be but I just want to make sure before I tune this thing up.

There's not much to go wrong with them. and if you send both, I'm sure one will work fine and I only need one. I'm gonna have to wait until payday tho... I had an unexpected bill come up... so... I'll pm ya round the 31st.
Let me know how that carb works out... and post a link... I might be interested... I hate where the adjustment screw is on the 250 carbs...
thanks...

Will do I will have to wait until I get paid next week to ship just PM me your address I'll let you know what it costs shouldn't be much. Also I just saw your picture on the hose Alleyoop and that is exactly what it is and I now have it correctly attached. I haven't had a chance to install the carb or finish any of the painting because the weather has been so bad so I will update when I get a chance to work on it again! It's supposed to be pretty this weekend but I need to spend it getting my 944 out of the garage and cleaned up and ready for the car meet circuit that is starting back up for the year so again the scooter takes a back seat. Good thing I have the Piaggio to keep my gas spending down. Rode the other day in 10 degree weather with all my cold gear. I'm devoted to year round riding!

I am used to riding almost year around also. It usually is to cold to ride, anything below 20 degrees. Just too cold- usually cold is also associated with that white stuff. SNOW... Or ice... In the 20's it is cold still, have to worry about wind chill, dressing warmly. Love my full face helmet- keeps the wind off my face. This year, not riding.. Let permit expire- need to take written test again. Rear tire needs changed too. With propane being so darn costly, $400 for 100 gallons, I can't afford to have rear tire changed.. It really sucks.. Next Spring it should ease up..
