It's called an enricher instead of a choke because rather than choke off the air, it has an open fuel port that enriches the mix till cut off. The component is a wax plug that reacts to heat by expanding. When an electric current is run through the enricher, it heats the was, which expands, and pushes a pin out to close off a fuel port hole. It should extend about 3/8" in 2-5 minutes, after which it is effectively "off". To test, remove the enricher from your carb by unscrewing the two screws holding the C clamp on it. Unhook the wiring harness, then run wire jumpers from it to your battery. If the pin doesn't extend out within 5 minutes, it is bad. what he says if it works off the battery and you test the wires going to it with the key on and you dont detect power it may operate on AC and you need to run the engine and test the wires with a multi meter set on AC volts. If you are confused about what i have said just do what jerry said and report back

I ride my 150cc on the hwy it thin if there is no traffic . One day I was on the LIE in the HOV lane for a while it was ok the further east I went the faster I needed to go , till I had a line of about 4 to 6 cars stacked up behind me . I was maxed out I crossed the double white as not to hold up the flow . Then continued my ride in and out of the right lane . If the road is congested it fine because its slow . one exit 1/2 mile is quick your there for a minute , if it out of your comfort level don't do it . Check your tire pressure be sure your wheels are balanced , all your lights work keep your eyes opened . Open up following distance look far ahead and behind . I'm not a fan of the stock chinese tires its time to replace them warn or not . John Yes I replaced my tires with Continentals because the originals were like eccentric not truly round. I have been known to take my 50cc on my countrys Motorway 100kmh limit mostly downhill on the off next exit or when it jambed with traffic and i surf the gap between the lanes. I would never be able to do 100kmh but i can wind it off the chinameter down steep hills one time the belt broke so bad you couldnt read the numbers or brand name it destroyed the plastic fan took 2days to fix cleaning all the bits of belt i thought i had an oil leak Im trying to say dont break a belt in the fast lane with original tires on

I would say glue the broken off bits back and glue 2 steel plate one each side with holes to match up to the muffler bracket and 2xnuts and bolts to take the strain off the glue
or another crankcase all the best
