I love the look of the dash and handlebars on this Lance Classic: (warning: this video is an advertisement)
To me, it just looks right!

I'm sure they can be had easily. The trick will be making sure cables can reach any potential extra length. My wrists would sure enjoy the angle better.

It may be an ad, but the scoots are nice anyway.

I came close to buying a Lance because I like the exposed handle bars. The handle bars on my Buddy are fully enclosed by body work.

On a Reflex scooter I'm modifying, I changed the handle bars from the standard scooter bars (4" rise?) to low rise bars (1.5" rise I'm guessing.) That one is getting a streamline fairing made for it.The link below is to another thread here with some of the pics of that project. I have a 2004 Honda Reflex that will probably get modified to something other than what it is now and will also have low rise bars. Maybe a naked/semi naked, post apocalyptic urban survivalist zombie proof rat looking kind of thing. It's got good guts & bones like a Big Ruckus. Might as well let them shine. itistheride.boards.net/thread/4691/reflex

THAT is one SWEET looking ride! I have always loved the Italian-style "turtledeck" scooters with motorcycle handlebars and cluster-gauges in separate buckets. Now, if ONLY that scoot came with a 300cc fuel-injected 4-valver...
And it needs red rims and wide-whites... LOL!

I had one and their not all you think they are. On a scoot they can jab into your thighs on tight turns.
