Good looking scooter. Of course, I think I'd buy a used majesty for around the same or less money, but it's great to have choices..

Sounds like one of those good deals that you come upon every now and then. If you get it, before buying a new speedometer or cable, unscrew the cable at the hub end to determine if it was fully inserted into the hub. My 2008 roketa came with a dust sleeve that was to long, so it could not be secured into the hole with the locking screw. It worked for a week, then had slipped out enough to disengage. Since the sleeve is plastic and not rubber, there was not enough compression available to fit. I simply trimmed 1/8" off so it would push far enough into the hole for the screw to line up with the locking groove. Best of fortune to you..

and, I would hope that they have a meter as found on the larger generators and motorhome generators that does clock the run time, but I doubt it.. I just could not find it in myself to buy that slow of a machine for that much money and that size engine.

bury 'em? sure, I know where several bodies got buried... when you grow up in the country and have trenchers and backhoe's and things available, it is the easiest least time consuming way to dispose of clunkers..

Why would a state allow the scrapping of vehicles over a certain age without a title? Well, they really don't like you driving an "environmentally unfriendly" vehicle, even if it is in as new condition. I do consider that it allows theft of property with the permission of the state, and think that it is wrong, but I'm sure there are others who disagree, since it does allow for the disposal of abandoned vehicles that are left in old barns or on rental properties for years.

I think 200 pounds is the weight of the chain that you would have to have to secure it outside of the grocery store.....

Totally agree.. I have no qualms about doing mods to my Roketa mc-79-250. I can always buy cheap replacement parts. I fret over making changes to my 1990 FJ1200 sport/tourer. Sometimes I wish the paint and decals were not near mint, so I could put my own styling on it. But I won't, at least not for a long while. Not because it would ruin the resale value, but because so much care was taken to keep it "factory paint"

Maybe somebody could offer her a trip to the grand canyon and let nature take its course. Or maybe just an invite to the Starbucks in the city and she might walk right into traffic while her head is down trying to text on her phone to her BFF that she's going down the street and getting a free cappuccino. Of course with true irony, at the same time, she'll get bounced off the bumper of a hipster texting on his phone to his pals that he is on his way to take them to the art gallery. (then he'll text them that he's pissed off now and he'll be late because some fleebag tw*t jumped on his Prius and busted his grill and windshield.) ..........it could happen. then they'll fall in love and make baby idiots...lots of them....

If one bike did everything, you would only need one. and where is the fun in that?

What type of scooter? Which engine? More info is always good, plus pics of the vent areas that you are talking about.. Several things can cause a non-start..

"Real bike"

I'd buy a "real bike", but I don't want to work on a harley every week, don't enjoy wearing pirate costumes, don't smoke camel non-filters, don't enjoy loud exhaust pipes, don't like to ride slow, and prefer wearing my full face helmet instead of risking "drain bamage". But that's just me. My little brother, on the other hand, loves that kind of stuff... Don't worry, ride happy...

Thumbs up on the actions you were able to take, Dev. I always watch the traffic in the mirrors after I stop, until I have a stopped vehicle behind me. As they close up, I tap my brake lever to light up the brake light. The headlight is weak on my 250, but the tail/brake light is a 21 LED panel. Very bright and noticeable...Heal Well..

I'd say jump on the deal.. Should be an easy fix, and if not the resale value is still very very good...
